America is heading to World Cup 2006
United States 2, Mexico 0
Did anyone else watch this game? I like soccer and I'm thrilled that America's national team has improved so much in recent years. I would have watched World Cup 2006 whether America qualified or not, but having our team there makes it much more exiciting for me.

I didn't get to see the game, but I do think it's awesome. Hopefully the US can make it to at least the round of 16 again, we ARE ranked like 6th in the world now, hopefully we can put in a good performance in Germany.

America is currently ranked 6th, and Mexico is 5th. After yesterday's game I would hope that America and Mexico would trade places in the next rankings that come out. I knew America's team was solid, but I'm surprised that we are ranked higher than England, Spain, France and Germany.

I watched the USA - Guatemala game earlier. It ended in a 0 - 0 draw, but most of team USA's best players didn't play much since we've already qualified for WC 2006.

I'm surprised to hear USA are ranked that high.
It doesn't look like England are going to qualify if they carry on playing like they did against N. Ireland last night. Shocking. On a separate note, I love watching 'Major League Soccer'. Sometimes the commentary is hilarious!
