Last time the Sox did anywhere this good there was no post season.

I'd love to have something serious to say, but I am afraid I'd wake up.

The Sox are playing well, their pitching is outstanding. Ozzie Guillén has had nothing but success, and the trade for Podsednik has worked out as well as they could have hoped. I would like to see them make the postseason.

The Sox are good, but nowhere near as good as their record indicates. They've played above their potential, but I do think they'll make the playoffs. What I do hope is that finally, some of their better players like Buehrle will finally be recognized as legitimate stars.

However, on the heels of today's game and as a Cubs fan, I must say: Muhahahahahahahahahaha!

I will say that their run differential says that they are playing over their heads. They have scored 358 and allowed 281, that gives an expected W-L of 46-28, they are currently 4 games above that mark. However, the pythag only tells you so much (the DBacks are somehow above .500 despite a huge negative run differential.

They have a 9.5 game lead over the Twins with almost half the season gone. They will have to screw up bad to lose that.

well its not like its not possible....the white sox never have been a second half team....i predict a collape

just watch out for them twins and bret boone, it just has that feel of the 2002 season when the twins got shannon stewart...but i could be wrong

even though i think the sox will collapse(bullpen pitching?) i am pretty sure that the wild card will be either the twins or White sox....

we'll just have to wait and see
