Liverpool 5 Times Champions!!!!
I'm still walking around with 'that' look on my face. I can't believe what happened last night!
3-0 down at half time to the mighty AC Milan, you would think the TV was getting thrown through the window! Whatever Rafa said to the boys at half time, Boy, did it do the trick! Jamie Carragher deserves another medal not just for that awesome performance last night, but for being the most consistent player all season. He didn't complain when his legs were out of gas, he just picked himself up and finished the job. Harry Kewell - I hope you didn't sleep last night, wondering which lower league team you will be playing for next season. What a waste of money and a disgrace to the number 7 shirt of Liverpool. Please feel free to add your own thoughts on last nights amazing scenes, while I wait to see when my voice comes back! Champions League? We're havin' a laugh!

Just bear in mind, remember what you (and many others) said when Man United snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat. Well, we're now saying such things about your team. Seriously though, of all the English teams in the champions league this season, I suppose Liverpool are the one I dislike the least. I'm happy for you... no, really. |

Nice thread. Good to see the world game making an appearance on this board!
Top win by the Reds. Gerrard is a freaking shamrock.

I was sitting at work when I heard that they won.... the three people in our class that were paying attention to the game, felt disappointment.... except me.... it was an awesome game (we watched highlights afterwards).

Just a thought: Maybe the Italians need to practice some PKs. How many times in the past have they screwed themselves by failing at converting PKs. I am sure that even Babe Ruth went to batting practice. I am just saying.....
Secondly, the game I watched Chelsea won! In my constructed universe I refuse to believe and or acknowledge that "supposed" loss against Liverpool. In fact, in my game Super Frank had a double hat-trick and Maldini had to carried off the field in a straight jacket! Go Blues!!!! I think I need to go outside every once and a while.....

Well done to them on the win. Not that i watched much of the game, but as the news was full of it i saw all the goals. I think it's nice they get to keep the cup forever now.

They reckon over a million people went to watch the team bring the trophy home last night. What a party!
Trust Riise and Cisse to be the ones to whip their shirts off. Those guys seem to hate wearing clothes . We all wait holding our breath now for two things. 1. When will Stevie G sign his new contract? 2. When will UEFA stop being spineless wimps and let Liverpool defend the trophy next season? I'm holding my breath starting.....from.............NOW!

I think you're allright on points one and two.
I think Gerrard will stay, if he doesn't he will be the most hated player in English football. I think UEFA will give Liverpool at least a qualifying berth, it's quite ridiculous when sides like Flora Talin get one but the defending champions don't. I still can't believe it all. Football is a funny old game. And about Milan and PKs, they were clinical in 2003 when they beat Juve on penalties to lift the cup (did I mention I won $100 in the process ? ). I guess something just wasn't right, or maybe Dudek got into their heads with his antics. Also I've been thinking. You have two goalkeepers Jens Lehmann and Jerzy Dudek who after commiting some sins during the season and looked to be heading for the exit, look like they just saved their jobs because of penalty shootout heroics. Funny old game.

ok... this post is almost comically out of date...
but that is close to the greatest comeback of all time. Milan were so good in the first half.... and then the comeback, and the miracle save by Dudek, then the penalties... what a night. all I can say is "walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart..."

My dad is a Liverpool fan and I support Arsenal, but I was cheering them on like I was 100% scouse!
At 2-0 he was whacking the remote on the arm of the chair! (it still isn't working right). At 3-0 he sighed "well that's that then". I said have faith, they can still come back, anything is possible in football. "Yeah right!" he replied. I never let him forget about his lack of faith!!
