What's the deal with the Cavs firing Silas? I think it's kind of sad the way coaches are fired nowadays just because the team loses a few games in a row. I guess the new owner wanted to make a big move, but I don't it'll work.
Look at Minnesota. They fired Flip Saunders and nothing really changed as a result. They lost a good coach and still won't make the playoffs.
Cleveland will probably still make the playoffs, but they'll be lucky if they get through round 1.

Well, when LeBron scores 56 of a team's 98 points and they still lose, there is definitely something wrong in Cleveland.

*Cleveland paging Mr. Jackson. Mr. Phil Jackson, please pick-up the white courtsey phone*

There's more to Silas' firing than just losing.

The team doesn't want to play for him, they have no respect for him.

When he benches Mcinnis for yelling at him, yet lets Lebron get away with it... then the coach has lost the players and that is part of what has happened.

In the end, I just don't think Silas could handle having Lebron and the talent. He was in over his head.

The Timberpups piss me off. Keeping Latrell, Cassell, T-Hudson, and Kandi man, what a cast of clowns, I mean Cassell is the only respectable one of the group be he is too old and weak to be effective.

Next year Spree will be gone, we'll get a solid draft, which we will probably end up blowing on another joker like Ndudi Ebi... At any rate I think next year will be better for us here in the land of the north, I mean the Viqueens are making some serious moves, The Twinks are in contention for a world series run, and well the Wolves can't do any worse.

Tell ya what, as much as some people probably would crucify me for saying this, I'd love to see Mike Fratello come back to the Gund and coach Lebron..... Fratello coaching true talent= massive championships.

I agree pan6467, I think Fratello is a solid coach. However, he could have run into the same discipline problems that Silas did. Regardless, Fratello is definitely staying in Memphis. Since he came in, he has coached very well and is headed to the playoffs.
