Jim Haslett fired?
No link... I heard it in a chat room. If its true, it isnt so surprising I guess... I just cant see the point of doing it now, UNLESS they have a replacement in mind. Because this season is done anyway for them... if they dont have someone to fill the role they'd be better off waiting till close season and picking a target to go for.

It'd be a horrible move for the Saints to fire him on Gameday, even if the game is already over. If he does get fired, I expect it to be Monday.

He'll be fired, without question. I'd guess they'll let him coach the year out, though -- unless he resigns first, knowing he's a lame duck.

Yeah, they'll let him coach the year out, if he doesn't quit first. Won't make much of a difference either way. I don't look for the Saints to be here (in New Orleans) much longer anyway. Good goddamn riddance.

Haslett will be out the monday after game 16.

Considering how bad the NFC is and how much talent the Saints appear to have, Haslett will have earned this firing.
And you've got to wonder how much longer they'll stick with Aaron Brooks. I've got Sunday Ticket and it seems like every time I flip past a Saints game he's doing something stupid. |
