Mariners hire Mike Hargrove as new manager
 

When I fist saw the list of managers the the M's were looking at last week. Hargrove's name was the one that jumped out at me as my first pick. He led the Indians to five consecitive Division titles ('95 - '99) and won two penants in '95 and '97.

I think he's got what it takes to bring the M's back from their disasterous season last year.

I always like him when he was in cleveland. should help you guys out, when he was with the tribe he helped them when they were full of rookies and helped bring them along.

He didn't do too well with Baltimore, but I really don't know if anyone could help those guys right now.

Glad they found someone early and didn't wait.
