TFP Suicide Pool Week #6
Week #6 of the TFP Suicide Pool (and then there was 6)
Week five has passed and the room has a lot of open seats. We started with 57 in week one, dropped to 40 for week two, seventeen going into week 3, lost three players week three, lost 5 players in week 4, and three more have let loose the mortal coil in week 5, so this week we now have 6 remaining. If your name is on the following list, you may continue on. If your name is not on this list, you are more than welcome to post a pick, if you are willing to receive harsh and embarrassing comments made about you since this is for the remaining participants only. (Congratulatory or self-deprecating messages are also welcome.) First a repeat of the rules: 1. Each week you must pick one team to win that week. (Point spreads are irrelevant!) If they win you continue on in the pool the next week. You lose, you are out. 2. You may only pick a team one time during the pool to win a game. Once you have picked a team, that can not be used for the remainder of the season. (This is where the strategy comes into play - choose wisely when to take your "sure thing" team.) If you “accidently” pick a team you have used previously, you will lose and then be prepared to be mocked and thoroughly embarrassed (hereinafter referred to as the “inharmony rule”). Since this is a single elimination, be sure to have your pick in by midnight EST the night before the first game. If the mod (thanks again Spectre) locks the thread before you pick, you have not picked, and have lost. http://www.nfl.com/schedules Now on to the remaining participants. Again, if you name isn’t on this list, your pick will not count. BonesCPA, crfpilot, Dengar, Jesus Malverde, jobu, magnum_xxxl Best of luck to all remaining.

Good job survivors!
Who would have figured San Diego would explode on ANYONE, much less a decent team like the Jaguars?!? I should have used a sure bet...

How about freakin' Arizona ???
How do you blow a 16 point lead with 4 minutes to go against a team who hasn't won a game all season. Freakin' unbelievable.

I know its a risk this late in the game, but when other have to decide between arizon and san fran ill still have quite a bit of options (hopefully).
Plus they are playing the dolphins who are even worse. Both starting qbs are questionable (injury wise and talent). No running game. Plus the bills are at home with a solid defense. I think they can pull this one out. Plus i am not thinking like a fan (if thats a good thing or not we will see this sunday) |
