The guy has had SHIT for an O-line the last several seasons. Besides, receivers don’t ALWAYS get open, so from time to time he is going to be unsure what to do. Should he throw it away, is he out of the pocket, maybe his man will get open, it could be an INT, etc. Every year he has been injured we screwed something up. Last season he was injured early, this season he is gone within 2 games, in '00 Sargosa's fat ass belly-flopped on him injuring his shoulder costing us the AFC title.

As for the injury, he should've known better. Yes, it was a very illegal hit. However, how many seasons has he had to cut short because of injury? How many playoff hopes have been trounced because of untimely injury? He's been through quite a bit injury-wise and should be playing smarter. A lot of that fault fall on the O-line, but, in the end, he ran out of the pocket. You can't expect the line to protect him once he leaves what little safety there is behind the line. He gambled. He lost. Was it worth it? Nope. Now we're stuck with Brother Kerry and Brother Kerry ain't getting shit done.

He had nobody open, so rather than take a sack or throw it away, he decided to run and help his team to maybe get a touchdown. Any smart QB would have done the same. As for him lowering his head...no, that was not smart, but you only have so much time to make a decision that you have to be quick.

As for all the talent....It's there, it's just not clicking. Porter, Jolley, Wheatley, Zereoue, Gallery are all comendable players. They just don't seem to be on the same page sometimes. And good old Kerry Collins isn't going to get them there anytime soon. Flashes of brilliance and a lot of mediocrity in my opinion.

You are absolutely right, I couldn't agree more, look at all the other teams without big name players that get it done...we have better players than most. This is a team game and without a team, no W's will be put on the board. Porter will most likely be gone next season as well...*sigh*

And you're absolutely right about the defense. During the Houston game....well, you watched it, right? I don't need to elaborate. I'll just honorable mention Warren Sapp, who is probably the biggest joke, both on and off the field, that the Raiders signed in the off-season. This guy talks a good game, but I've yet to see him pull the trigger and make the decisive play. If I'm wrong, by all means point it out. It seems we spent in inordinate amount of money for a shit-talking bobblehead and that's such a shame.

No you are not wrong as I pointed out in an earlier post.... Sapp has been nothing but a waste of money, has he even got 1 sack? All of that money could have been spent to acquire a better secondary. God knows we desperately need it.

And again, you're absolutely right. Collins is a waste. I don't see how starting Collins this week is going to get us a win against Denver. In fact, I see more of the same. Mediocrity. Mediocrity isn't going to get us to the playoffs. Hell, mediocrity isn't going to win us 5 games in the today's NFL.

At this point we really have nothing to lose in starting TUI. I mean, realistically our season is already over, we might as well give this guy a shot. After all, he could very well be our next QB if Al decides to take his head out of his ass and realize Scary Kerry is not QB material.

Geez. We didn't start Tui and, surprise, surprise, we got our asses handed to us on Sunday by the Broncs.

It always feels much worse to lose to them for some reason. Why in the fuck would you keep Kerry Collins in after the half? 21-3? Nothing and I mean nothing was happening with Collins under center that first half. Okay, maybe that's a little hasty. However, what would it have hurt to get Tui some time out there after the Broncos pulled away (31-3) near the end of the 3rd quarter?

The Saints are this week and they aren't looking too sharp (1-1 on the road) so, maybe we can get something going there. It isn't going to be with Collins, however, and it seems Rdr4evr and I aren't alone in this belief.

Something needs to get done, and it needs to get done FAST, this organization is headed down the wrong road, and not only will it cost us a lot of money, but a lot of fans as well....

I can tell you whats wrong with the rams - the lack of a real head coach. Martz is an offensive genius with the judgement and wisdom of a 2 year old. He always errs too far and never on the same side - sometimes he's too cautious (03 Playoffs v Carolina) and sometimes he's reckless. Further, he is inconsistent in setting up the ground game (which lets us set up play action) and fails to put Kevin Curtis to use on any consistant basis - Curtis should be stretching the field and getting huge plays past 3rd or 4th string corners, or getting safeties off of Holt and Bruce.

With that said, the Rams still look pretty solid this year on talent alone, and are certainly a very exciting team to watch.

I think football has gotten much more sophisticated in the coaching and front office in the last several years. Some teams have caught on to that trend and some have not. Its pretty easy to figure out which teams are well, coached and well managed; Patriots, Broncos, Steelers. The SF 49ers really started this trend way back in the late 80’s with Eddie DeBartolo treating the players well and Bill Walsh preparing his team well and the front office running/drafting well. The teams that don’t do these things, Bengals, Saints and now the Raiders come to mind, oh and the current 49ers. Its SO much more sophisticated than XXXXXs and OOOOOOOs.

Welp... my Cardiac Cats are on their way to a 1-15 season again!?! How can a team go from NFC Champs to Big Time Losers like this?

The obvious answer is injuries, of course, but is Jake really as bad a QB as this? He has thrown 7 TD passes but 10 interceptions. The most in the league. And, Rdr4evr, you thought Collins was bad?

We went from SB to 4-12. Off the field problems with coaching and players as well as injuries were a big factor. As for Collins, he is still shit compared to Delhomme. I would take Jake over Scary Kerry anyday. Atleast your man has some fire in him, as well as some TD's. Collins is a zombie with about a total of 12 turn overs and only 4 TD's, makes me sick to my stomach.
