filtherton 09-20-2004 11:22 AM

Didn't the bears get beat by the LIONS???!?!?! AT HOME?!?!?!?!

nuff said.

Craven Morehead 09-20-2004 03:50 PM

Lions are 2-0, right? Mariucci scares me in Detroit.

radioguy 09-20-2004 04:12 PM

how is the lose of jones gonna hurt the team in future? wasn't he a main cog in the defensive alignment?

It's Mike Brown, Jones is the running back. It will have an impact because Brown is a big play safety (5 career defensive TDs in 5 seasons, two in back to back overtimes to win the games), so there isn't a question that his injury will be major loss on defense. The play following him going out, Mike Green shifted from strong safety to free safety and Bobby Gray moved into the strong safety spot where he got an interception on that play. Mike Brown will be missed, but there is fairly decent depth in the safety position. The bigger loss will be Charles Tillman if he is out for an extended period of time.

Don't expect too much.

Green Bay'll be in the playoffs. The Bears won't.

Bears are headed in the right direction, though.

Craven Morehead 09-27-2004 10:31 AM

Bears are done for the year. Just reported that Rex Grossman has a ruptured ACL and will require surgery. Out 7 - 10 months.

fuck....

jobu 09-27-2004 11:32 AM

is it too early to start talking about next years draft?

Shpoop 09-27-2004 01:00 PM

it is NEVER too early to talk about next years draft! (go dolphins!!)

magnum_xxxl 09-27-2004 02:24 PM

It sucks that Grossman is out, I haven't even had a chance to watch him play since college.

And about the draft, my father in-law doesn't want miami to win a single game so they can pick up an rb on draft day .I guess they are on the right track, 0-3 ouch!

Not so fast Dolphins......not if my Bucs have anything to say about it....

0 -3 , Double OUCH

Jadedfox 09-27-2004 11:23 PM

Yeah Bears can pack it up now. That fucking sucks. Our luck is nothing short of rotten.

On the bright side, Thomas Jones is leading the NFC (3rd in the NFL) in rushing and you guys laughed at me when I said he could compete for the rushing title.

get rid of Wanny and maybe your luck will start to change.

Bears fans no need to worry now we have hutchinson now.

Jadedfox 09-30-2004 05:26 AM

I don't know if Hutchinson is an improvement over Quinn. We'll see.
The more I think about it I don't think Rex being out for the year hurts us that much. It sucks for his personal development of course, but Thomas Jones IS the Bears offense.

As long as the O-line stays healthy we'll be fine. Mike Brown, Jerry Azumah, Urlacher, Tillman...those are the injuries that worries me.

I'll still go out on a limb and say the bears will upset Philly on sunday!

Spectre: Your av isn't bad either :D
