I think that this was a great duo of trades.

Ok they lose Kasmir, we will see the affects of that in the coming years.

But
They got both Zambrano and Benson.

They picked up 2 of the 3 top pitchers on the market, You have to gove them some credit here , they actually followed through on something and big.

This gives them a rotation of .

Glavine
Leiter
Trachele
Benson
Zambrano

That is not a shappy pitching rotation.
It is pretty solid all the way through!

I think Zambrano and Benson will be there for a while, they just seem Met like.

They will be the Leiter and Traschel of th emets in a few years

Zambrano isn't that good. He's the best pitcher on the Devil Rays, but that's like being the best fullback on a Steve Spurrier football team; you still aren't that good.

Giving up Kazmir for him is moronic.

I like the Benson deal, but I wonder if he is too little too late for them.
