Camden Yards

Hey folks,
You all helped me so much when I was going to Wrigley for a game, I figured I'd try again. I'm sure djtestudo will chime in on this one.
Anyways,
My brother gave me two tix to the Sept. 10 Orioles Yanks game for my birthday along with 2 nights stay in Baltimore. I've always wanted to go, being a huge O's fan, but living in Upstate NY.
Any recommendations on places to go? Some friends at work said don't miss Fells Point. Any other recommendations?
Thanks!

Basically the entire Inner Harbor area is a must-see. The Yard is three blocks from there. Fells Point is real nice as well, and I would recommend it, along with Canton further east, and Little Italy just north (best restaurants in the city from all accounts).

Also, don't forget to take the ballpark tour (which I mention because I'm a tour guide there ).

Did they change the back drop behing home plate this year at Camden. I believe it's a brick wall now... I thought it used to be a green padded wall.

Yeah...they added three new rows of seats between the dugouts, so they added a nicer wall.

Not as much Baltimore Street as "The Block". Before the Inner Harbor it was probably the only reason worth going downtown

Also if you have the time and extra cash you may want to head down to annapolis *spelling*. The women are VERY VERY attractive down in that area, and the overal landscape is nice (depending on what areas of town you hit). I have lived outside Baltimore all of my life and have enjoyed every part of it.

Have a good time and by the way, don't expect to see many O's fans at Camden Yards the night you go. It seems for some reason the Yankee fans overrun the ballpark and it's almost like Yankee Stadium 2 down here........

Annapolis would be a good day trip, as would DC if you have the time. But, you know, Baltimore kicks both their asses

There's been a backlash, especially this year, against the Yankee fans, and a lot more O's fans are showing up.

That's good, 'cause I can't stand all the bandwagon Yankee fans!
...and there seems to be a growing number of them!

Aberdeen. He owns the team and the stadium is named for him (well, his family).
