26 Ks by Milwaukee Hitters

and they still win the game 1-0 in 17 innings. Milwaukee tied the league record for most strikeouts in game and their LF picked up six. Apparently it wasnt his day. They should have called the game after 15 innings and just gave both teams losses.

On a side note, Sheets was great for Milwaukee but got a no decision.

Why should they have called it? Both teams have guys who can hit, the pitchers (especially Sheets) were just pitching very well.

One of the best games I've seen in a while.

Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!"

figured out the sport is baseball by reading the above posts, but what the hell is a 'K' and why is it so awful?

A "K" is a term for a strike-out. One is out if he gets three strikes before he either hits the ball or gets a walk.

ah thank you. I understood how strikeouts work from a young age but 'K' has zero connection to me with the easier term 'strikeout'

Well they were bound to get contact at SOME point in the game. Their pitchers kept 'em in it so they could.

Talk about pitiful, look at the Angels, they got 4 hits in the 17 innings. On the bright side, GARRET'S BACK!!!!!!!

Sheets was more than great. Didn't he only give up 1 hit in 9 innings? If he keeps things up, he'll get a fair share of Cy Young Award votes.

Sheets has been awesome this year, finally starting to really show what they knew he had when they picked him up 4 years ago.
