Got to feel sorry for the Magic, last year it was LeBron, this year it is going to be Okafor (maybe). What a letdown.

I am with you AL9045, I was pissed when I saw the Wizards land the 5 spot. I was really hoping for the first pick, so they could draft Okafur.
Defensively, besides collectively stealing the ball among the best in the league, they were awful. Haywood is foul prone and non-existent offensively. With the emergence of Jared Jeffries and Okafur, they would have be an improved defensive team. If G. Arenas would not cough up the ball so much, and if we wouldn't have traded a pure 2-guard (Rip) for a player who needs the ball in his hands to be effective (Stack), maybe Washington would have a decent team. Larry Hughes can do what Stack does, but neither of the two can do what Rip does. |

I mean I wanted a high draft pick, but I don't think this is a great year for us. I mean almost all the positions are locked except for C, and there really isn't an excellent C in the draft. With that being said however, since we're in the East, we could maybe move Kwame to C or try to get one off the free agent market.

1) Trade Stack for a pick in the 6-10 area (someone like Atlanta or Philly that would like an impact player NOW instead of the table scraps from college and big-gamble high school players who will be available at that spot.
2) Trade both picks up to the top three, to get one of Okafor/Howard/Deng. That is what the Wizards need to do.

no matter who they get Portland should be a lock on getting back to the playoffs where they belong. Even a first round loss is better than the lottery.
