Marcus Giles will be out six-to-eight weeks after breaking his right collarbone in a violent collision with Andruw Jones on Saturday night in Milwaukee.

That is why you CALL OFF the other fielders. First thing you learn in the outfield in Little League.

There are few guys that you can root against in baseball.. that kid was not one of them - real bummer.

I was watching the game when it happened. It surprised me that Jones-Giles collided since you'd figure that one would call off the other.

That sucks. Jones is too important to call other fielders off though. That is for sucks, but not for AJ.

I saw it live, no one called for it, presumably because neither thought they could get to it. What a vicious hit. Giles head snapped and hit the ground worse than most hard NFL hits.

It's a hell of a lot different in the Major Leagues. There's a whole different system they have to use because of the bigger field and the noise.
