Any team that depends on Shawn Bradley as a "defensive threat" SHOULD be killed and stoned. I like the Mavs, but their Swiz-cheese (holes in the middle) defense will hurt them. Watching them against the Kings just showed how weak the Mavs' defense really is. I mean come on, they let Keon Clark dominate inside? He's not a dominant force! If the Mavs cannot contain Keon Clark, there is NO WAY in Hell they will advance. Their individual and team defense HAVE to be taken to a much higher level in the playoffs.

I never would have guessed Van Exel would kick butt like he has been. As many times as he's been elbowed in the head, how can he remember what happened a year ago?
Like degrawj says, Sacramento will be tough. I hope we can put a solid defense together for at least one of the games there. And I hope Chris Webber isn't hurt as bad as rumors say; the series won't be the same if he doesn't make it back. |
