MLB single season record for triples at 36, and the career record at 309. Both are insane compared to what guys are getting today. The active leader today is Damon, who has 94 triples (not even 1/3 the way there) and he's 35 years old. No one under 27 has more than high 80s.

I affectionately referred to this as the Lions "going defeated", considering most teams that do the opposite go UNdefeated. Funny to think about! :lol:

technically it can happen.. julius cezar chavez went some crazy number undefeated (75 or something in that range) before old age caught up with him. granted he is not heavyweight, but its quite possible.
