Sorry dont believe in Bandwagons. I will pass this time around...

I have been a fan since the 70's. Rusty Staub and Ron Leflore were my first two favorites of the Tigers back then.

I've been a fan for around 2.5 years...for some reason I always fall in love with rooting for the bad teams (tigers, bulls)

Oh yeah, the Tigers will be a doninant force in baseball this year...just because they have as many wins now as they had midway througjh season last year, doesn't mean they have any chance of contending

i love cheering for the underdog

but i am not a huge baseball fan... the season is too long

The momentum is building....4-0!!!!

Al Kaline (the most graceful ballplayer... ever!), Charlie Maxwell (he was something special on Sundays), Billy Bruton (a GREAT center fielder), Jake Wood (a phenomenal base stealer... if he ever got on base!), Jim Bunning, Phil Regan, Don Mossi, Frank Larry (the Yankee Killer)... these were the Tigers I grew up with.

1968 was cool, 1984 was great, but 1961 may have been the best Tiger team of all time... except that the Yankees had two guys named Mantle and Maris who dismantled the league that year.

Let's enjoy this roll while it lasts! 4-0 and a day off tomorrow to savor it. Johnson pitches again on Saturday. Who knows.....!

Haha the Tigers won again...the Tigers will probably slump soon..but who knows.

Bobaphat is just jealous because Seattle will be fighting with Texas for 3rd place. The Central is so weak that the Tigers could contend for a couple of months, which is way better than what we have had to cheer about for the last 10 years.

If they finish around 65-80 wins I will be estatic and will be able to laugh at all you naysayers.

Tigers have a lot more confidence and talent this year and it will go a long ways for when they do lose a couple of games. Pudge and Vina are used to winning....that will rub off on other players.

The team is showing some character early this season: overcoming injury, coming from behind to win, winning in extra innings... ... they even made a strong comeback attempt in the game that they lost.

Give a lot of credit to the new veterans, and to the strong personalities on the coaching staff. Trammell, Gibson, Parrish... they haven't let the shadow of last year linger and insist on a professional effort from all hands. Nice job!

I like the idea of the "gutter" teams, actually winning games and keeping the league interesting.

I enjoy following the Tigers more than saying... Well, the Yankees won again...

Wonder which Tigers team is going to show up tommorow? Some days they look just like last year. Others, they are world beaters.

I'm pulling for them but it's a long season. I figure they'll be respectable at least.

1/4 of the season gone and playing .500 ball! Would have thought you were high if you'd made that claim 40 games ago.

Tram benched Cornejo, and the rest of the pitching staff seems to have gotten the message. And the hitters are scoring a ton of runs... even without Vina and Young available.

Overachieving? Maybe. But I'll really enjoy it while it lasts!

I am trying to be a Tiger fan this year... I even made it to 3 games at Comerica Park this year.... I saw the 17-3 game against cleveland..... wooohooooo. I doubt if they will be a .500 team though.....

.500 isn't going to happen this year. They're still a pitcher or two short. But the improvement is a lot of fun to watch.

I'm helping my friend move on Sat., and as payment, he's taking me to the game. Marlins vs. Tigers. Should be fun. I haven't been to Comerica before.

Pudge is leading the world in hitting! So happy that the Marlins decided to go cheap on him! And Johnson looks like he may be a pitcher, after all! Nice game Friday night!

Going to see Tigers v. Diamondbaacks tonight. Bonderman pitching... hope he brings the good stuff (seems he's either very, very good, or very very hittalble). Sitting in section 140 (lower deck, 3rd base side toward the left field corner). The 1984 heroes will be there, they're giving away an SUV, then fireworks afterward. Going with my older son and my daughter. Weather in the low 70's, dry and clear! Gonna have a great time!

It'll be nice to see Luis Gonzalez play. I liked him when the Tigers had him, but they wouldn't play him regular (management were idiots back then). Nice to see how well he's done for the D'backs. Hope he strikes out tonight, tho!

The '84 Tigers were a bit like the '04 Pistons. A lot of very good players who hadn't gotten recognition yet (Gibson, Parrish, Trammell, Whitaker, Morris). A lot of very good seasons, statistically, but no one among the league leaders. Everybody played hard and contributed (Lemon, Evans, Petry, Wilcox, Herndon, Bergman, Brookens, Castillo, Kuntz). I loved Sparky and "Bless You Boys!" That was the summer my older son turned 5, and it was great to experience the whole thing with him at that age.

We had a great time at Comerica on Saturday. A couple of Tiger misplays allowed the D'backs to make a game of it, but Munson's monster shot in the 9th was fantasic! (457 feet... longest in ballpark history)

I've got a gripe about the official scorer, though. By my count, Bonderman should have only been charged with 2 earned runs, not 6 as in the box score. Infante and Munson committed errors that failed to end innings, and 4 runs subsequently scored (and Arizona's first run was the direct result of Rondell White totally misreading a fly ball to left into a ground rule double. He broke hard toward the diamond, and the ball bounced on the warning track and over the fence. Total butchery!)

Despite that, we had a lot of fun. The young lady from Arizona in the seat in front of us was a good sport, and a good fan.
