Euro 2004 in Protugal
Dunno how many "real" football (aka soccer) fans there are out there but I am actually fortunate enough to be going to Portugal for the European Championships in June (thanks to my gorgeous fiance!).
I'll be seeing Spain v Russia in Faro and will also be trying to tee up some tickets in Lisbon (fingers crossed!) Anyways, has anyone got any predictions as to who will be the form team at the Championships? I have a feeling Spain will be a force...they were the quiet achievers at the World Cup and should have beaten South Korea in the Quarters (but that's another story). Also cant go passed Germany, but I think Portugal will also be a team to watch out for. |
Well, in CM 03/04 Portugal usually dominate Euro 2004 and produce some stunning upsets ;) and this is the last chance for the "Golden Generation" to leave their mark.
But, I'm going to say that France will win the lot, provided there isn't an injury crisis like at WC 2002. |
I dunno about France...they aren't all they're cracked up to be...especially in defence now that the old guard is gone.
Portugal will definitely cause a stir...they play Spain in the goup phase but I think both teams will go through. |
Can't see anyone other than Italy, Portugal or France winning it although sweden could do well.

Dang your lucky...i'd kill to get to Euro 2k4.but im just an American so i'll be staying around my part of the world...Ba Humbug...I dont see france as a major competitor for champs in euro 2k4 but i could see Italy doing well.Im intrested to see some of the Germany matchs to see how they've done since the last WC but who knows...
