I think he needs a real team to play on. THEN you start worrying about things like that.

Kevin Ollie on one side.
Andre Miller and Earl Boykins on the other. NeNe. Darius Miles. Carmelo has a supporting cast. James has guys that serve as a cast as well, but the kind that hinders you. LeBron isn't putting up the points that Carmelo is, but he has more boards and assists per game than Carmelo does - and a better field goal percentage. I DO believe that there is such a thing as guys who are just winners. They are winners because they work harder, and desire victory more than their counterparts. I just don't believe this is an example of that situation. |

Z. Ilgauskas (sp??) is an All Star Center.
Ricky "Tricky&NeverPicky" Davis is a 20 point per night guy. Nevertheless I understand your points. I feel that they are two different kind of players. Melo is a Bird, Bernard King..Alex English kind of guy, while LeBron is expected to be Jordan. I believe Melo is going to be better but only time can tell. The Pistons should be committing suicide...Darko? |

Z is an all star center in a conference without ANY real centers. Go figure.
Ricky Davis is a scab on the bruise known as the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now, James may be the next Magic Johnson, or whatever, but Carmelo has more experience right now. As time goes on, you're gonna see James eclipse Carmelo in the impact category and then overtake him. Right now, it's too early. Darko.. umm.. I thought everybody knew this. The Pistons didn't draft Darko to have an impact right away. The kid is still a couple years of conditioning away from being able to play. They drafted him to get him ready for a couple years down the road when they will need a new big man.

LeBron is a better player than Carmelo right now, and he always will be better. He has a court sense that Melo will never have. Melo is a little better scorer right now, but he doesn't rebound, steal, dish the ball, and he can't control the tempo of the game like LeBron. The Cavs are just young and stupid. Ricky is jealous of LeBron, D Miles sucks dick, but Boozer and Z are great players. The Cavs bench is just fucking brutal. The Nuggets just have a better team, and that's why they win. Although, I'll be surprised if they can keep this pace up all year long because I just don't see it.
Darko may be a solid player in a few years, but from what I've seen of him I don't think he's gonna be good, and he sure a fuck isn't gonna be the player that Melo will turn out to be. The Pistons are gonna regret not taking Melo. A team who is so close to making the finals needs a gut like Melo, they don't need an expensive practice player because what happens in three years when the Pistons suck and their chances at making the finals are gone? What a waste. The Pistons made the worst draft selection that I've Seen in a long time. |

LeBron and Carmello are both fantastic players, however, 'Bron is better as of right now. His stats are better, his play is better, and quite frankly, his body is better.
The number two guy on the Cavs is Ricky Davis, someone so selfish he shot on his own basket in order to get a rebound so he had a triple double. Next up is the center, whatever his name is, the one who is injured all the time and has never amounted up to anything. And Diop is working out just as good. Then you have Darius Miles who still thinks he plays for the Clippers. Carmello at least has Miller, Nene, and Boykins.

In the long run it is who wins more right? Tracy McGrady is better then both LeBron and Carmelo but his team is pathetic and basketball, last time I checked, wasn't an individual sport.
Carmelo is a cog in a team that is playing well and he's growing up daily while winning. Who knows what continued losing will do to LeBron mentally?

I honestly wouldn't put McGrady that much further ahead of 'Melo and 'Bron. McGrady is not exactly the best player for a team, his performance isn't the dramatically better than 'Melo/'Bron, and he has had about 5 more years to develop.

James has been getting more minutes than any other rookie, thus explaining the high output. If you do an average on lebron & the other rooks, I'm sure that they are all about the same.

I hear all points made.
I am not a LeBron fan because I have yet to see him take over or like Melo does..makes the right plays at the right time, regardless who is on his team. Face it, without Melo..the Nuggs would not be squat. The only part of LeBron's game Ilike is his passing and seriously if he was all that, Davis would be averaging 40. |

The pistons aren't going to suck in 3 years. None of their guys are really old, and they'll still have a good chunk of the team they have now, unless they do some trading. PLUS Darko, who has a lot of potential. Billups, Rip and Prince are all way under 30, Wallace is right around 30... they're a young, talented team that isn't going away any time soon.
