They didn't just lose again. They lost 40-21. Even the score does little to describe how lopsided the play was.
Thanksgiving's embarrasment aside, it's not the end of the team's season. They only need to win two of the last four to guarantee a playoff spot. I wouldn't write Dallas off. |

With the parody of today's game, two fo the last four is both difficult and easy. In other words, they should be in every game, with a chance for victory in each.
Two observations: 1. The Dallas defense has been exceptional this year. But they were ugly yesterday against a team with little offense. If Dallas wants to win two of the next four, they have to hold teams to 21 or less. 2. Q. Carter was just awful in the second half. He didn't get criticized by the announcers too heavily, who must have not wanted to rake the kid over the coals on turkey day. But jeez, Carter deserved it - he wasn't close most of the second half. If both Carter and the defense can get over this loss and revert back to early season form, they'll make the playoffs. |

They'll probably make the playoffs, but i'm beginning to think that they are overrated.
the offense is SHIT. all those 3 and out's! wow! defense is great, although they didnt have a real good game against miami. however, i blame this on the pathetic offense, making the defense stay on the field for most of the game.

miami may have been a team with little offense, but they sure werent yesterday. The way they were playing, the passion and concentration, i think they woulda been runnin it up and down the field on almost any team
EDIT: but wow, the cowboys offense! Miami may have a damn good defense, but they were losin players left and right, and dallas couldnt make shit happen except for some fumbles |

I say that the Cowboys go too full of themselves and just expected that W to magically appear in their standings, now they have payed for it by giving up the Division lead, unless Philly loses this next Sunday.

Disagree heavily.
Before the Dallas game, he had only 9 catches for 112 yards in the previous 3 weeks. Seriously how can you even say that? He's 19th on receiving yards with 669 and he's tied for 31st for receptions at 45 catches. I can name 5 better receivers off the top of my head. Moss, Holt, Coles, Owens, Harrison. you put chambers with Manning, Bulger, or Culpepper and he would have the same exact numbers as Moss, Holt, or Harrison...
When you have a team like the Dolphins who cant even decide which QB to start, (fiedler, Griese) how can you compare... Talent wise... This guy makes the most acrobatic plays Ive seen in a long time... Im sorry but I really think he is is the top 5 or 10 Best WR.... You cant use stats to compare.... You got to look at what the guy does with what he is given.... |

If he's that good, maybe Miami should try getting the ball to him more, instead of passing the ball to Ricky and having Ricky run for a 3 yard average or so. |

Just to get thread back to the Cowboys...
(If you want to discuss Chambers, why not start another thread so everyone knows the discussion is going on). Let me start off by saying that I hate the Dallas Cowboys (Thanks, Jerry Jones). And, I detest Bill Parcells (Thanks ESPN, NY Giants, et al). That said, go back to the beginning of the season and think about it. Everyone said that there wasn't enough talent on the Cowboys to do much of anything. Parcells was going to need two to three years to transform them into his type of team. Carter and Hutchinson were going to battle it out to be starting QB, but neither fit Parcells model for a QB. But in spite of all the negatives, everyone figured that what would save them was their defense. It was pretty good last year and there were signs of improvement this preseason. Now, Parcells has gotten more out of the talent that he has to work with than anyone expected. They are still a work in progress, but they have made giant strides. They probably need to win two more games to be sure of making the playoffs. I don't think that they will win the division because Philly has finally found their stride. But, I do think they will win enough games to make the playoffs. Parcells has a long week because of the Thursday game. Parcells' teams are not usually "come from behind" teams, particularly this one. So once Miami got ahead by a couple of scores, it was unlikely that the Cowboys could come back. But you can bet that he will get them back to doing enough running to control the clock. From everything that has been said, Carter has made great strides and is working hard to become a Parcell-style QB. As long as the games are close, you can't count them out. I look for them to be a wild card team, but lose in the first round.

Next week is gonna be for the division. Should be a lot of fun up in Phil for this game.
Dallas was bound to get blown out this year, it was just a matter of when. The big test is how they rebound from that to play a big game on the road with the division on the line. |

I don't think anyone actually believed that the Boyz were back - they are a helluva' lot closer than they were last year and there's really only been one change - give the Tuna a year and time to actually make some changes and then we'll see if they are really back - they might make the playoffs but they won't go far. I hate what has happened to my football team but it looks like King Jones may finally have pulled his head out of his ass. Give them a year or two - then we'll see.

I agre with LD. Parcells has done a helluva job with what he had this year, I don't think there is any question there. But, they are definately playing over thier heads. Dallas is not a good as their record. Give Parcells another year or two to build that offense to where he wants it (a quarterback, a running back) and they will be back to where they were a few years ago. I hurts me to see it though, I hate the Cowboys, but being a Dolphn fan I got a great deal of satisfaction from the beating they put on 'em last week.
