Actually the Gator Bowl isn't interested in Miami, even considering they are in state. They still don't travel well or get the fan support like others. After the Virginia Tech loss this past Saturday, WVU is now the front runner for that bowl. And according to meetings that took place last night, the bowl and even Maryland's coach and AD are interested in a rematch, stating it's even better for the rivalry. The Gator is considering inviting Maryland this week even before the Wake Forest game. They have to wait on the Big East cause of the championship winner to the BCS still up in the air. But there is more doubt on the ACC side now if they put off picking Maryland, as they are now somewhat interested in Clemson. A Clemson vs WVU matchup looks very good to them considering back in the 80's the two teams met in the Gator and still hold the Attendance record. So as of now it's all in the air, but just stating that the Gator has even been quoted saying WVU is the front runner and that they aren't really interested in Miami
