FFB Q: Chandler or Holcomb?

Chandler is now the starter in Chicago, and they're playing the Lions this week.

The starter in Cleveland is up for grabs and they're playing the Pats this week.

Should I grab Chandler? There's no one else left...

Grab Chandler.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported today that Holcomb let slip about some torn ligaments in his leg. Butch Davis won't name a starter until he has to, but I think it's gonna be Couch.

On top of this, the Browns play a very tough New England defense this week. I don't think any Brown is a good start.

I'd second the Chandler vote. The Browns O-line is still pretty banged up. I'm pretty sure they're going to stick Couch in anyway.

Agreed. You're stuck in a shitty situation though, because even if Holcomb starts, it's a situation similar to Chris "concussion" Chandler, he'll be one good hit away from being carted off the field. At least Chandler won't be going into the game with an injury, and is definitely the starter.

Don't get me wrong, I like Chandler, but I think he's one good hit away from ending his career.

Well, the game is away and couch is known not to suck away i'd give holcomb another week to heal and let couch start this one.

Thing is everyone knows, Butch Davis likes Holcomb more.

I picked up Chandler, because I think he'll be able to do more against the Lions than Holcomb/Couch against the Pats.

As a diehard Bears fan which I assume you are I totally agree with you and I was watching ESPN last week before he got his first start and they said this stat: Chris Chandler was unable to finish 7 of his last 10 NFL starts that is ridiculous. Only question is will they back him up with Stewart or will Chicago get its first taste of REX???

I am a diehard fan, but I am realistic also, and being realistic, starting Rex is the worst thing they could do. Put him in there when the line is having problems blocking and my guess is that Grossman will get injured. Let him sit and watch to get a feel for the game. If he starts next season, he'll at least have an idea of what he's up against.
