I read that, sat there confused for a bit, then started laughing and shaking my head.... Yes, that's a misquote of MacArthur at the end... I'm looking forward to what he says if the Yankees lose.

Like any good politician, he's saying absolutely nothing. With one exception: come to yankees games, buy beer, spend money, make me richer.

He's saying, "When we lose to the Sawks and I fire Torre, Cashman, and the parking lot attendents, it isn't my fault, 'casue I tried to motivate the team."

Steinbrenner is a stupid funny guy. There is not enough mad owner like him in pro sports.
