Tommy Maddox, you fucked up as much as you possibly could.

2 weeks in a row now, apparently you are trying to make a case for Batch replacing you mid season.

Sorta.

You have to question a lot of things about how the Steelers played.

They dropped some key catches, the o-line was giving Maddox absolutely no space, they committed to the running game when it wasn't giving them anything but putting them in 2nd and long or 3rd and long.

Their defence was absolutely shocking, the linebackers were able to stop the run (hats off to them) but couldn't do anything to Couch, he was behind a makeshift o-line for crying out loud. And by the time they clicked that they needed to change to a 4-3 instead of a 3-4 to get any kind of pressure on Couch they were already losing badly.

Also silly penalties/bad calls etc.

Yes Maddox got an INT returned, but hey, the Steelers would not have lost if their defence made crucial stops, that's a fact.

I am a diehard Steelers fans and after watching them so far this season, there is definitely something wrong with the offensive scheme that they are trying to run. The Defense has been exploited and has problems but the total lack of any offensive ball control (along with a few int. returns) has helped put them there.

Until the Steelers Offensive line finds out where they left their blocking skills, I don't know that it will be getting any better. It is a damn shame when there are defensive players in the backfield before a handoff can take place.

This is the first season that I can remember things seeming worse instead of better at this point in the season.

Ah well, who knows.
