Well there are more rumors about Tyson fighting Sapp at the K-1 Grand Prix in December, but they are just that--rumors. I don't see him ever fighting in UFC because there isn't enough money and he would pretty much be emasculated in the ground game. In K-1, which is basically just kickboxing, Tyson could clean up and make a decent amount of money.
In other freakish crossover news, former Tyson opponent Francois Botha will be fighting Jerome Le Banner at the K-1 Elimination in October. This doesn't seem like a good boxer vs. kickboxer matchup because Botha is well past his prime and at his best he was kind of gatekeeper material. On the other hand, Le Banner is currently one of the best kickboxers in the world. |

I watched that K1 fight with Sapp. He is a BIG boy. The problem is he only throws punches, he doesn't fight on the ground, he's a boxer. The guy he fought almost had him knocked out. Between rounds they stopped the fight cuz they wanted the doctor to look at Sapp. I think this was a bogus delay tactic so he could get his wits together. K1 didn't want to see Sapp lose that fight. He is a huge celeb in Japan and K1 would take a big hit if he lost.
Saying that I would love to see Tyson in the ring with Sapp. I think Tyson would take him out in no time.
