I played ultimate in college from time to time. Including times when I was in an "up" training cycle for cross country and track. According to my logs I played at least twice during a 100-mile training week. I don't remember those specific games, but I do remember ultimate consistently kicking my ass because of all the accelerating and constant moving.
Fun game.

While I don't play ultimate (my cartilage-less, torn ACL knees won't allow it), I play disc golf alot (3-4) rounds a week. I've been playing for about 8 years and I absolutely love it. I especially love playing at night. You just put a light on the basket and attach LED's to your disc and let it rip. A kick ass good time!!

Just to name a few that I've play frisbee in. Or are you looking for tournaments. If so, I think Chicago Sports Monster still has some.

i'm an avid discgolfer. there's an amazing 18 hole course spread through a park in santa barbara, ca. the "holes" are 2 ~3ft rings spread vertically about 3.5 ft apart forming a cylinder in the air, usually with a chain link kind of curtain draped around inside to keep your disc from bouncing out when you get it in. this is all mounted on a ~4 ft pole.
i actually like it better than real golf for a few reasons.... you can put "holes" in way more rugged and out of the way places and between trees, making for more scenic and challenging experiences and increasing your hiking excersize compared to wheeling around a golfbag on the green or using a cart.

Played in a disc golf tournament today. It was for a group I'm affiliated with called ADG (Always Disc Golf). we had 25 guys playing two rounds at the new disc golf course in the Phoenix area, Paseo Vista. I was ( -3) for two rounds and finished in 6th place!!!! The last two years we had fewer people participating (25 was a group record) and I had finishes or 7th and 13th place. So I'm pretty stoked about my play today.
