hey Ravens fans
how'd you like that ass-whooping my Steelers put on your boys today?
34-15 and it really wasnt even that close. your two TD "drives" were produced by our mistakes (a fumble at the 2 yd line and 60 some yards of pass interference penalties on the other). without that help, it would have been 34-0 or even worse. ok, im done now. had to rub it in a bit. oh crap, I just realized that next week my Black & Gold boys have to face a REAL NFL offense in the Chiefs. Good thing the KC defense is one of the worst in the league. my prediction: Steelers triumph in a barnburner of epic proportions: 48-45.

Only thing I can say is the D played WAY below where they should be. A week in practice with a REALLY pissed off Ray Lewis should fix that
Boller played better then I thought he would. He didn't drive the offense, but he passed well, and showed the ability to scramble. Notice he got away from about 4 sacks during the game. If we had better receivers and a right guard we'd be alright. As for now, the way Cleveland played today, Baltimore has next week's game won...

Yeah, the Ravens sucked today. Give Boller a few games to get acclimated though and come the end of the year at our house, we'll kick some Steeler ass.

On offense, the o-line is suspect. The running game is also suspect, as Zerowie had a good year, but would need to repeat that, and more. Bettis is like the Baltimore MTA busses when all their wheels kept falling off. The WRs are probably the best in the NFL, but need someone to throw them the ball. Maddox is presently the biggest overachiever in NFL history, more the Warner because Warner has had several good years. If Maddox goes down, remember Batch lost the starting job in DETROIT. You could always turn Randle-El into the new Slash On defense, the line and linebacking corps are good. Only problem is any ball thrown past the LB will be a touchdown due to the total lack of a secondary. At least you no longer have Stewert to blame for your crappiness." - djtestudo Poor djtestudo. Don't worry bro, although your play-off chances aren't the sure thing that ours is you could still have a better than .500 year! One down, one to go! You shouldn't be beaten as bad next time around :P. Jdoe |

Them's fightin' words
All I can say is that if McAllister doesn't play like the #1 CB he wants to be paid like, we are S-C-R-E-W-E-D. Of course, he could pick a fight with Ward, get both thrown out like last year, and it becomes a win-win situation. We win because you lose your best receiver, and we also win because McAllister can't screw up.

I can't believe the Ravens are seriously relying on Kyle Boller. It watched him suck unbelievably for three seasons at Cal, then have one OK year (with hints of his latent mediocrity showing at times), and now you think he just needs to become acclimated.
Tell you what, we'll send you Tiuasosopo, see how that works out. |

Did anyone else hear about Jason Gildon going after Ray Lewis in the parking lot? I heard that on DVE this morning (local Pgh radio station that broadcast yesterday's game)
Apparently Gildon went to the bus and called the Murderer out and they had to be seperated by the cops. See, the Steelers still had more ass-kicking left in them!!!!

It's like someone making fun of the Steelers cause that guy got shot. It's what's on the field that counts. Bah, people bringing up outside crap. This is football, not a "put your personal crap shit" game. |

I think you all need to lighten up. I'm a Ravens fan but I don't live for the game, Its great if they win, but not the end of the world if they get spanked. I don't take it personally like some apparently do.
Trash talk is meant to be fun, not disrespectfull or abusive. We are spectators. Our team winning or losing does not reflect on us personally. Because the Steelers have beaten the Ravens however many games in a row doesn't really make Pittsburg fans superior, just as the Ravens recent Super Bowl victory has no bearing on on Pittsburgs fans inferiority and their teams inability to advance beyond the playoffs. One thing is certain in the NFL. Success is short lived. In this day and age you don't stay on top for long. So enjoy it while you can ,but don't let it go to your head. Have fun cheering for your team but try to stop short of hostility for others.

Talk about on-field play, like how the Steelers D shut down the Ravens, don't call some guy a murderer, that's low. |

By the way, I don't think many NFL teams are loaded with saints, which I'm sure R. Lewis is not. But I watch for their football skills. If you hate every NFL player who has run afoul of the law, you would have a hard time being a fan of any team.

well, technically, they HAVE done better than that the last decade or so. 4 AFC championship appearances and one Super Bowl trip. but as long as Bill "Slobberchin" Cowher is coaching the Black & Gold, I fear that you are right. One (maybe two) and done is our usual playoff expectation.
