Which receivers would YOU start?
I need the forums help. I've got six pretty decent receivers and can only start three. (I wish I had the same problem with my running backs.)
My six are: Peerless Price Chad Johnson David Boston Isaac Bruce Brian Finneran Antwan Randle El I guess I am planning on starting the first three listed but I am having a hard time sitting out Isaac Bruce. Anyone have any thoughts?

I would go with Boston, Price, and Bruce because he's proven himself season after season, and he's got Tory Holt on the other side of the field so opposing teams cant just key on him.

I think your plan is good. What I would do with Bruce is see who he's playing every week and see if he's got a favorable matchup and sub him in for either Johnson or Boston.

Boston is going to have some tough matchups and might turn out to be a bust, but it's too early to tell. Chad Johnson will have some tough matchups too. But I think, at least at first, I would sit Bruce. Unless your scoring system really favors yards over scoring.

The Chargers have some good targets, the Bengals have more.
Price, Boston, and Bruce will probably be the most reliable. Johnson will have to share the ball with Warrick and Kelley Washington. He also might have to adjust to Carson Palmer halfway through the season.

One day an Englishman, a Scotsman, and an Irishman walked into a pub together. They each bought a pint of Guinness. Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!" |

Some very good points by all. Thanks very much.
This week I am going to start Price, Boston and Johnson. I agree with jfranco in saying that Boston might prove to be a bust but I am at least going to start him until the league finds out that one of those 200 horse pills he takes every day is illegal. Its raining here in the Nations Capitol so it looks like it will be a sloppy track for the Skins/Jets tonight. I am starting the Skins D over the Ravens. I'm one of the few in the area that actually likes both the Redskins and the Ravens. So I picked up both their Defenses for my league. You have to be at least a little bit of a homer. Enjoy the season all.

Peerless Price
Chad Johnson David Boston Put in Johnson for Bruce. Cincinatti is playing Denver (whos defense blows). Rams are playing Giants who have a much better Defense not to mention that Holt is their go to guy as well as Warner spreads the ball too much for you to be able to count on Bruce for huge numbers. Just my $.02 for this week. |
