Carmelo Anthony to enter NBA draft
Quote:
Kind of a shame to see IMO, as I like college basketball a lot more than NBA. I just find it more exciting and fun to follow. What are your thoughts on his decision to leave college early? |

Saw that coming. I see him going 3rd or 4th in the draft.

you still have teams out there like Duke, or Kentucky and now maybe Carolina that graduate players... i can still see teams like that win a few championships.... Who is going to be a better pro, Anthony or LeBron?.... i rooting for Anthony just becuase he seems like a nicer guy than Big Head Lebron

It was a good move by him.
I was expecting him to be at least one more year at Syracuse, but hey, he can compete against the top candidates in the NBA draft.

He had to go. Had nothing left to prove. Did what few people could ever imagine doing. He *should* be #1 in the draft, as I think he's more developed than Lebron, but he won't go any further than #3. He's gonna be good in the NBA.

If I'm doing the picking, I'd seriously consider pickng him ahead of Lebron. I think alot can be said about the fact that Carmelo dominated against much better competition. I'm not saying he's better, but I do think he will have an easier transition to the NBA.

Anthony is what is wrong with college sports. If I read another article about how much he liked college I am going to puke. This idiot did not have a 2.0GPA, which is why he had to be taken out of the running for the Wooden Award. Syracuse also spent more than any other school on their basketball program this year (per USA Today), and I doubt that included Carmello's salary.

I am still looking for the article about Mello being taken off the Wooden finalist for the GPA, but here are some that announce the All American Wooden team (which he is not on, but lesser players are). I know Bogans and Mello were two players that had to be taken off due to GPA. A 2.0 is a requirement for the Wooden Award. Wooden AA Here is who won it and the other finalists (Anthony not one): No Anthony Here is a story that talks about having to have a 2.0: 2.0 needed I wish I could find the article that discussed some of these players not being allowed to be finalists, but can't. You must admit that he should be a finalist and the only reason is the GPA. Here is an article that takes a shot at Cuse for graduating ZERO black athletes over the last ten years. That program is truly a sham! Cuse Sucks |
