THis is absolutley appauling. This man's legacy is being destroyed by lying selfish people. This is the type of people this world doesn't need. There is now 8 samples of this mans DNA that has been stolen. Why coulden't they just have buried this man, and let him lay to rest. It's absolutley sickning what has happend with this. It's a complete disaster, and all of the people involved should be put in jail. It disgusts me.

John Henry Williams needs to be castrated before he has a chance to propigate his corrupted genes. Then we find these supposed "missing DNA samples" and either creamate them with Ted, or use them to clone him, which personally I'm against.

Does anyone else think that ANYBODY who gets frozen after death in the hopes of being revived is a complete LUNATIC? Ted didn't agree to this, that much is clear. The reports now that his frozen separated head has CRACKED several times I think pretty much finishes this. After the legal fight that happened in the months after Ted died between his own kids over what would happen to his body, you'd think John Henry, who apparently really really wanted his dad frozen, would have at least paid the fuckin' bill. This is one of the saddest stories ever. Ted was not only the greatest hitter to ever play the game, but he was an American hero. Like many ballplayers, he left baseball to fight in WWII, but unlike many of them, he actually saw combat. He served with honor in the Marine Corps and flew fighters in combat in two wars. He was a class act and a true legend of the game. Though he never won a championship (hey, he played for the Sox) he is the one player who will most be representative of the Boston Red Sox franchise.

And now, he's in two pieces in tanks of liquid nitrogen. He needs to be given the respect he deserved and earned in his life, which was truly greater than life. www.thesmokinggun.com has a copy of his will, which states that he wanted to be cremated and his ashes sprinkled at sea off the coast of Florida, with no funeral or memorial service. He wanted to leave the world quietly and peacefully. So far, the EXACT OPPOSITE has happened. John Henry and Alcor need to be held responsible for this.
