This is one of the most economically depressed areas, one area in the country that gets dumped on constantly (and a lot of times unfairly) and the biggest sports star of the day who says he loves this area, takes out a one hour video and rips this area's heart out, not even thanking us for making him who he is.... throwing games so he wouldn't win a championship here..... it is emotional, it is personal, when any other crackhead whore would be tearing up cop cars and shooting guns off in one of the richest townships in the area gets off with no press coverage and never arrested because of who her son is and what he meant to this area.... and for him to do that to us nationally.... I've never understood the caps express anger or outrage, I've generally just given up on things that are cap happy, usually just makes the person who uses them constantly look foolish.

As for Lebron, was anyone really surprised he left? I'm not even a basketball fan and could tell he was leaving, there's no loyalty in sports these days, that went out the window years ago, so no real surprise here, sports these days is all about how much coin one can make, not about the fans, or the team someone plays for, so no shock here.

I haven't watched the NBA in years, so I don't really care where James makes millions shooting a ball through a hoop. I will say this, though--the ridiculous pomp-and-circumstance surrounding "the decision" has done nothing but re-enforce my opinion that professional basketball is as much about "sport" as professional wrestling is.

Lebron is his own man, he can do what he wants. Cleveland is a complete shit city for someone like Lebron, for alot of people actually. I wouldn't want to live there. Bringing Wade and Bosh to Cleveland was never even an option for anyone. Your owner wanted to win, it just didn't happen. Lebron wants a ring, not money. He'll make plenty of money. We all knew he has a big ego, it's Lebron James. You think Cleveland made him? He's always been good and will always be good no matter where he goes. I think you have it backwards, Lebron made Cleveland. All's he did was leave, he didn't throw the city under the bus or anything like that. Cleveland fans are the only people who thought Lebron was coming back.

Sports are big business, especially the NBA, I wouldn't expect a non-fan to understand that but that's how it is. Don't take it personally that he left your great city, he just couldn't get what he wanted so he went someehwere that could give him that.

I'm glad he plays for a super team now, he can take down the hated Lakers.

Teachers and many other professions should be paid more, but the competition level is much less than that of an athlete.

Think about it: millions of kids play sports in the USA like basketball or football. How many make it into college level athletics? 3% for men's basketball. Millions play, but only a few advance to play in college. 1.2% go from college to pro. This has to be the highest level of competition in the world, at least it seems so.
