Fantasy Baseball, anyone?
If I start a TFP league how many would be interested?
I would be happy to post weekly updates. Maybe I could even scrape up a prize...maybe. Thanks, bb PS - If someone already does this annually, I don't mean to step on toes. I'd be happy to join whatever league we would do. |

I'd love to be in a league just let me know when draft day is

I absolutely love baseball...but truth be told I have NO idea how fantasy sports work. If somebody was perhaps kind enough fill me in on the rules (or send me a link to read) I might be interested. I do get pretty busy in the summer but I could probably keep up with it if its not too complex.

Here is the site for the league: http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo....ague/tfproject
The password is: tittyboard You pick the players you want to draft in any order you want. Obviously, the player you want may not be available so you have to make a list of many players and when autodraft starts, it will automatically draft the highest player available on your list. For your roster you will have: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, 2 utility players, 2 starting pitchers, 2 relief pitchers, 4 other pitchers, 5 bench players (stats don't count), 1 spot on DL (stats don't count). Meaning this: You have a roster and you "start" a C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF, 2 utility players (usually you pick 2 based on what category you need more of. R, HR, RBI, SB, & AVG.), 2 starting pitchers, 2 relief pitchers, & 4 pitchers (again, usually pick based on what category you need more of. W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP.) Batters Stat Categories: Runs (R), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Batting Average (AVG) Pitchers Stat Categories: Wins (W), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP) You can "start" players (their stats count) or you can "bench" players (they're stats don't count while benched). Players can be traded, put on waivers (could be picked up by someone), or even cut. You can pick up the players that weren't drafted if you have a player shit the bed (like Ryan Dempster will do this season). I'm trying to be general to give you an idea of how it works. If you want, go to the site and poke around. You'll see some details that would take far too much typing to explain. Feel free to post questions. bb ***Note: If we don't get at least 10 teams, I'll just delete the league. So I wouldn't put too much work into this unless we know people are gonna participate.*** |

You need to post the league ID number so that we can get in.

Sorry...bad couple of days. The league ID is 365263.
I would also prefer the rosters be week-to-week. I will see if I can make sure that happens. This should be the link: http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/365263 The password is: tittyboard |

Actually, that should be the link. You can't view the league unless you have joined. Which I have: Conowing-O's

I'm in. I hope we are doing a regular draft, not auto draft.

I don't wanna thread jack, but I got a request to do the TFP league again that is normally done around here.
Draft is in an hour and 30 min and we still need at least one more team, I set the max teams from 12 to 8 and posting here in hopes someone joins. League ID#: 472520 Password: ichokedagain It is a head to head league with playoffs, no streaming/pitch-and-ditch allowed and rosters are locked except for major injuries once the playoffs start. I'm setting it at 8 max teams because of the short notice before draft, hope we can get the one person needed and I'm doing it first come first served because of such short notice.
