I didn't have a bad first day, got 13 of 16 right. I picked the wrong 12 seed to pull an upset, I picked N. Iowa to beat Purdue and missed out on Western Kentucky beating Illinois. Of course I usually get 25 or 26 right in the first round but never have anyone left by the Elite Eight.

I'm not even going to look at the atrocity that is my bracket anymore. At this point I usually end up pulling for the underdog, except UConn. UConn is my jam, and there were a lot of questions going in about how well they will do and if they really deserved the #1. So far they are the only #1 who has beaten their opponents handily. I'm calling for the UConn men and women double up, like 2004.

My bracket is also shot, due to my faith in the ACC (Clemson elite 8, wake final 4). I am a MD fan and ACC fan for the most part (no love for Duke, the team that does the least with most). The ACC has been a disappointment. I will give the edge to the Big East this year (their elite and good teams are better, stronger performance in the tourney), but I believe the ACC perennially has been the better conference (still have a strong RPI this year, and their worst teams are better than the bottom feeders in the Big East).
