2009 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament
March MadnessTM!
NCAA College Basketball Scores - CBSSports.com News, Fantasy, Video (Also free live streaming of the games) My bracket is already shot, by the way. Three Sweet Sixteen teams out and the first day isn't over yet! |
I didn't have a bad first day, got 13 of 16 right. I picked the wrong 12 seed to pull an upset, I picked N. Iowa to beat Purdue and missed out on Western Kentucky beating Illinois. Of course I usually get 25 or 26 right in the first round but never have anyone left by the Elite Eight.

had two wrong, Butler and VCU. and both should have won.
I knew W. Ky. would win as they are good, and they've done the upset before in the dance. |
Only missed one so far. Picked Clemson over Michigan. Memphis gave me a scare as I have them going to the Final Four but Northridge couldn't pull it out.

thankfully, no sweet 16's out yet. |
Rough day today, lost two of my elite eights. Only 8 for 16 today.

my bro is doing excellent with his bracket. ranked about 825 on ESPN's bracket challenge. my bracket on the other hand is ranked somewhere around 25,187,463. i suck at picking games. glad im not a gambler.

If you picked the higher seed then your bracket would be almost set. I can't believe only 2 teams are left that were seeded higher than 4.
|
well don't be surprised if a couple number 1's go down. All of them look shaky.
|
I'm not even going to look at the atrocity that is my bracket anymore. At this point I usually end up pulling for the underdog, except UConn. UConn is my jam, and there were a lot of questions going in about how well they will do and if they really deserved the #1. So far they are the only #1 who has beaten their opponents handily. I'm calling for the UConn men and women double up, like 2004.

My bracket is also shot, due to my faith in the ACC (Clemson elite 8, wake final 4). I am a MD fan and ACC fan for the most part (no love for Duke, the team that does the least with most). The ACC has been a disappointment. I will give the edge to the Big East this year (their elite and good teams are better, stronger performance in the tourney), but I believe the ACC perennially has been the better conference (still have a strong RPI this year, and their worst teams are better than the bottom feeders in the Big East).
