He still has the talent, the question is, does he have the desire, and more importantly, will a GM see him as the final piece to the puzzle? I doubt he'll be playing for Miami ever again, though (and I wouldn't blame him).

just picked him up in fantasy!

As a Miami fan, there's really no reason not to play him at least for the remainder of this season. With no wins, no current RB and a rookie QB starting.. what is there to lose really? The man has experience, we know he can run and for some reason I think he's really ready to play this time.

I cant see him being the player he was to be honest. I think he'll still be good enough to play in NFL, but he wont be able to hit the numbers he did before, and once he realises that now he is a "solid player" rather than a "star" that will be the hardest part for him.

Oh well, another former Toronto Argo headed to the NFL... along with the likes of Flutie and Ismail. He'll have missed the Grey cup by 1 season.

Did I miss something? Did he quit smoking pot? First drug test and he will be gone.

I agree. He never was a great player anyways. Considering his draft position and what New Orleans gave up to get him, he was a disappointment for the Saints. He did have one great year in Miami. Even though the following year he was a durable workhorse, his production was well below average (yards per carry, # of touchdowns) considering the number of touches he received.

Bingo.

This guy quit on his team because he would rather get high. That said, someone will sign him. Its just like Strawberry getting extra chances. Some of his new team mates will even welcome him.

Amaras 11-18-2007 10:12 PM

I'm a Miami fan. It would be nice to see him back in action. With
him, maybe they could win ONE DAMN game!

troit 11-19-2007 03:08 PM

The only reason for Miami to play them is so they don't go 0-16!!

Ustwo 11-26-2007 11:03 AM

Couple of things.

First I'm not a Patriots fan but I want them to go all the way so the 72 Dolphins shut up forever.

Second it would be great if the same year the Dolphins were 0-16.

Third, when it comes to Ricky Williams I kinda respect him. Not because he became a pot head, but after the punishment he had to put up with Wansted as coach (Ok Ricky, here is the plan, you run at them and beat on them with your body until they can't take it any more, every down) he was willing to just say 'thats enough' and try something else. Yes that failed miserably and he 'gave up on his team' but christ, its a game and there are more important things in life then getting life long injuries.

He plays again tonight from what I gather, I'm going to be cheering for him to have a good game, and for the Dolphins to lose.

I wonder if the injury is a fake. He was going to have to give back $8.5M in signing bonus. Now since he played and got "hurt" he won't have to regardless of how much weed he smokes.

Dirt bag. Good riddance. The only thing I don't like about all this is that Cam should hang his head in shame after allowing himself to be played like this.

I heard it was a muscle tear of some kind. Can you really fake that sort of injury these days with MRI's and the like?

Absolutely not. It is the team that releases the injury report. Whether or not his agent leaked the information early, it has since been verified by the Dolphins.
