Chicago fans must really be desperate for a win in the WS, seeing as how both the Red Sox and White Sox broke their respective 'curses'.

Wow :shakehead:

Supposedly, the way to lift the curse is for Cubs management to show they truly care about goats. Dangling a goat's corpse over a statue doesn't quite do that.

That's pretty fucking bold. It's not as if that corner is a hidden away nook. But then, knowing Cubs fans, this isn't surprising at all.

Halx 10-06-2007 07:38 AM

That's hilarious stuff! Unfortunatley, this didn't work.

LazyBoy 10-06-2007 08:43 AM

Dang, thats a real goat lol.....Cheers to a WS win? :D

I stand corrected about whether its effective. The date on the sign in Oct. 3. My guess is it was placed there following the game 2 loss on Oct. 3. Probably by someone who woke up with a killer hangover. And I'm sure the Chicago cops are now reviewing the surveillance tapes. Chicago is covered by security cameras operated by the police department.

Oh yeah, its only a couple of blocks away from a large police station.

Craven Morehead 10-06-2007 06:09 PM

Well, so much for that. I've got 4 tickets to tomorrow's game.

What would someone be charged with.

Wasting food? Littering?

Its obviously a goat that was properly butchered/cleaned for processing.

The_Jazz 10-07-2007 03:53 PM

One of my assistant's husband is the detective handling the case, apparently.

Neither the police nor the Cubs are taking this seriously and the only thing the perpetrator could be charged with is vandalism. Apparently the goat was purchased pre-butchered.

Infinite_Loser 10-08-2007 03:34 PM

Assuming the Cubs had won their series, would the goat have stayed?
