Above are the top four awards presented during the evening. You can vote at ESPN using the link. For those who may not be from the U.S., the ESPY's are the awards presented by ESPN. The question here is -

1.) Who deserves to win what?
2.) Jamie Foxx has just been announced as host. Who would you like to see host the ESPY's?

My 2 cents-
Derrick Brooks
A-Rod
Peter Forsberg
Tim Duncan

I'd like to see David Letterman host the ESPY's.

NFL - Vick, because he has taken the Falcons to the next level.

MLB - Bonds. His defense isn't the best, but when he is on a hitting streak he is one of the best hitters in past 50 years.

NHL - Forsberg. No question. Lemieux is too old, Naslund's stats are lower than Forsberg's, Brodeur and Giggy were good, but Forsberg gets the nod for consistancy throughout the regular season.

NBA - If Shaq was healthy, he would win it hands down. Since he wasn't, I think Garnett should get it. He was pretty much the only player on the T'Wolves and was still able to catapult them into the playoffs in the WEST. That is a huge achievement.

As for a host, Conan O'Brien.

Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!"

Crazy

NFL-Brooks. Without him, the Bucs don't go as far.

MLB-Bonds. No hitter in either league is feared more than Bonds.

NHL--Forsberg. Hands down.

NBA--Duncan. Needs to improve FT %, but all around best player in league.

NFL: Michael Vick - The first of a new breed of scramblers. Re-defining the QB position.
MLB: Randy Johnson - Not as great this season, but still one of the scariest pitchers in the game to face. Killed a bird with his fastball.
NHL: Martin Brodeur - Jiggy had a great playoffs, but Brodeur is consistently a winner and with Roy's retirement is now the best goalie in the game.
NBA: Tim Duncan. The Admiral has passed the baton, Duncan is the future of the franchise and destined for greatness.

I love the ESPY's. It's the only awards show that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's like the MTV music or movie awards used to be a long, long time ago, when today's target audience was in elementary school.

-Mikey

Oh yeah... Kornheiser and Wilbon co-hosting!

NFL: Derrick Brooks. I think it's about time that defense was glamorized like offense. Brooks is a freak. I'm a T.O. fan but he won't get it because of the "bad press"

MLB: Tejada deserves it. He had a great season and should be rewarded.. Bonds will proly get it.. he is the darling of baseball right now isn't he?

NHL: Broduer.. no question in my mind. He's the best in the game (now with Roy gone) and he proved that by setting playoff records this year and winning the cup. *sigh* I bet Forsberg gets it though. Sorry Jiggy fans, jiggy got his trophy already and even that is debatable

NBA: I want McGrady to get it but he won't. Duncan will get it and he proly deserves it. He did a great job and hell he won the title this year.

I happen to know who won some of these. The live event was actually a couple nights ago and was taped to be broadcast later. But the winners should have been:

Holmes
Bonds
Forsberg
Kobe
