Its that time of year again, and I'm hosting my annual Yahoo Fantasy Hockey League. Some of you have been in it in previous years, and are welcome to sign up again. There are currently 7 open spots left, with a total of 10. Feel free to either post your questions or desire to join here in this thread.

Was it something I said? Come on guys, we've gotta have some hockey fans left on this board that are looking for a little friendly competition.

How much time do you spend a week to keep up with the league? Is it really time-consuming?

It is basically as much as you wanna put into it. You can update all of your starts weekly in about 10-15 minutes and not look at it again until the next week, as long as you have no injuries. Others will monitor all of thier starters everyday and scan the free agent list looking for that next sleeper pick. And the live draft takes about an hour, or you can pre rank your draft list, and the computer will pick for you based on this list.

So to sum it up, it really can take almost no time at all, and yahoo does all the work as far as tabulating stats, so its pretty effortless. Its the draft that makes or breaks a team IMO, and where I spend the bulk of my time on the league.

I'll give this another whirl, see if I can do better than last year.

If there's a spot open, I'm down to try some fantasy hockey. I need something to keep me interested in hockey since the Bruins traded Thorton.

Had I known you were going to participate in this league, I woulda signed up. I guess I'll have to bask in my fantasy baseball championship, while you sit quietly in 5th place.
