How about those Bears!

Grossman kept the Cards in the game. I wish the Bears could trade Grossman for Leinart before they leave town. Matt was the real thing tonight. Grossman was just real bad.

Just saw Denny Green's meltdown on ESPN.

djtestudo 10-16-2006 09:06 PM

F***ing Cardinals.

goddfather40 10-16-2006 09:08 PM

Denny Green's meltdown was classic. I love it.

I guess Sir Charles was right, the Cards did not have control of the game despite Korn-Hoser's insistance that the game was over before halftime.

spectre 10-16-2006 09:28 PM

Wow, 6 turnovers and they still won. WOO for having that D on my fantasy team. :D

jorgelito 10-16-2006 10:48 PM

*still crying* Damnit!!! I started Rex Grossman today because Peyton Manning had a bye week. I was thinking Rex would bag me at least 200 yds and 2 TDs.

This was a bad fantasy week for the Bears *grumble*

But yeah, the Bears are still strong. It's football, anything can happen. Tennesee almost took Indy, Philly beat Dallas and Pittsburgh is slowly coming alive again.

My fantasy world is topsy turvy....

Ustwo 10-16-2006 11:54 PM

Grossman just plain SUCKED today.
The defense SUCKED for almost 3 quarters.

And now Green can suck it.

Really though I felt for Green, he was right, they had a great game plan, they owned the bears, and something odd and wierd happened.

The_Jazz 10-17-2006 05:06 AM

Could Arizona be any more snakebit? That's at least the second time this season they've snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at the last second...

Thank god I didn't keep Rakers on my fantasy team from last year.

Part of being a great team is getting the lucky breaks, and the Bears may have used up most of theirs last night.

Craven Morehead 10-17-2006 05:41 AM

Meltdown!!!

:D

WOW, I am SO GLAD I tuned in for the last hour of this game!!! Da Bears Did It Again!

p.s. - I love when Sire Charles is right. He's one "jock turned sportscaster" I really enjoy listening to...esp. when he talks smack!

eribrav 10-17-2006 03:20 PM

The best stat I've heard about 'da Bears this season: Not only are they undefeated but every team that has played them has lost their NEXT game as well. I think they're just manhandling their opponents, to the point where the teams haven't even recovered a week later.

I"m a huge Bills fan, and I know they're still walking funny from their trip to Chicago.

Mojo_PeiPei 10-17-2006 04:38 PM

Pretty lucky team when it comes to those timely fumbles... I smell NFL conspiracy.

SirLance 10-17-2006 06:07 PM

I was at the game, and completely speechless. Unlike Denny Green...

Why did I buy those season tickets? Oh, yeah, I had hope. Foolish me!

Its been about 20 years. Maybe they should bring back the cheerleaders' daughters. :D

Ace_O_Spades 11-06-2006 12:27 AM

Lol Bears... good job Miami though.

d'oh Packers :( they really do suck...

Brewmaniac 11-06-2006 04:05 AM

They really sucked big time against Miami! It maybe just what they need a wake up call, going against some tough teams ahead. They need to get all their shit together, for their playoff run!

Go Bears!

Glory's Sun 11-06-2006 05:14 AM

as a Miami fan I haven't had much to cheer about.. well not until yesterday :p

Craven Morehead 11-12-2006 09:41 PM

This team is going to make me nuts before the season's over. They looked pitiful for most of the first half, then they turn into Giant killers. :D

The_Jazz 11-13-2006 06:55 AM

I was at the Miami game, and the first half of last night's game looked like a continuation of that particular fiasco one week later. One 3rd-and-22 later, and we're back, baby!

Willy 12-11-2006 07:46 PM

It's a sad state of affairs when this Bears team is among the best in the NFC. That said, just about every superbowl contender in the NFL this week except the Saints pretty much got embarrassed this week. Even teams that started out excellent are looking very mediocre now.

Heretic. As a Bears fan, I shun you.

By the way, I believe the Chargers are Superbowl contenders, and if they didn't look almost as awesome as the Bears did on MNF, then you need to redefine the term. And Baltimore pretty much put on a defensive show against the Chiefs. Are we watching the same season?

Craven Morehead 12-16-2006 08:16 AM

Starting DE Tank Johnson's house was raided on Thursday - found guns and grass.
Bears suspend Tank from Sunday's game.
Then on Friday night Tank's bodyguard (wtf, a guy named Tank needs a bodyguard?) was killed at a downtown Chicago nightclub, Tank was right behind him.

This is messed up.

The_Jazz 12-18-2006 06:16 AM

Tank apparently had a bodyguard to insulate him from the public. Basically this guy kept people from coming up and bothering Johnson in public, which is a problem in certain venues I guess. I also heard a report on the radio this morning that the bodyguard was a friend that Johnson was employing just to help the guy out. I haven't seen that in print yet, so I don't know anything about its validity.

And how the hell do we almost snatch defeat from the jaws of Victory like yesterday?! My wife was most displeased with me when I woke our son up screaming at the TV. I was in the basement and his room is on the second floor. Thankfully he went back to sleep and the Bears won.

Brewmaniac 01-01-2007 11:57 AM

Man they really sucked ass against Greenbay, they are going to have to get there shit together before the playoffs.

Thing is, Bear fans won't settle for anything less than a Superbowl. The players know that too and they expect nothing less, problem is they are so focused on the brass ring they are forgetting they have play the game.

Wilkerson 01-01-2007 12:34 PM

The good thing about yesterdays abyssmal showing...let's look at the facts here, they had home field advantage and were held scoreless through the first half and didn't do much in the second half...is that we now see the Bears for what they are. They had a simple year and then they came up against a team which they should have been able to beat handily. Instead the Packers trounced them. This loss shows that the Bears are not a particularly good team. The only thing which would make this even more beautiful would be to see the Bears arrive at the SuperBowl and be held scorless for the entire game. Swanson wouldn't be so smug then.

cameroncrazy822 01-10-2007 01:23 PM

February 4th, 11pm ish... altimore Ravens 28 the Chicago Bears 10.
Tru Dat!!!!!

The_Jazz 01-10-2007 01:41 PM

There's no way that the Ravens can score 28 points against ANY playoff team, NFC or AFC. The offense just isn't that good, as usual. I think it's a tad early to write the Ravens and the Bears into the Superbowl, especially since the Ravens will have to go through the Chargers and the Bears will have to beat someone period.

I like the Chargers and the Bears, but I sure wish we would have Tommy Harris back for that game.

Craven Morehead 01-14-2007 10:12 PM

I'm not sure if the Bears D can keep Brees out of the end zone or that the Bears O can put up enough points if they don't.

Next weeks game should be a good one. All four this weekend were great games.

Go BEARS!

Craven Morehead 01-21-2007 04:23 PM

Niiiiiice :D

The_Jazz 01-22-2007 07:27 AM

Note to Reggie Bush: don't taunt Brian Urlacher at home. He's too nice of a guy to pound you personally, but he will pound all of your teammates.
