Heavyweights & Holy v Jones?
What with Kirk johnson pulling out of Lewis match. Tyson. Hide etc.
What do people think of boxing at the minute? Also on 4th october. t.b.c. Holyfield will fight Roy Jones. This is intriguing. Holy is my favourite boxer although should not still be fighting on really. I honestly think Jones may have a lot of trouble from Evander. That is if He catches up with him. speed v power imo. What do you guys think?

Jones handicaps Holyfield. And I like Holyfield. But heres a guy that hasn't actually won since Jones moved up. Holyfield carried away on stretcher in the 9th.
Jones is a great fighter. He can't physically match up with Lewis. It's just not possible - he gives up way to much. I'd like to see Jones win the fight - but I'd rather not see the fight made. Jones can't match up. The only fight that is any good for Lewis is a guy of comparable size. Rahman is a big man, he gave him trouble (beat him for a few months). No Chris Byrd (too small), no Tyson (too small, seen it before). Maybe the other Klitschko brother. |

Holyfield had 3 jabs last fight versus Chris Byrd.
Roy Jones might not knock him out but he will bloody him up. Lewis would destroy Jones. While Jones is a better fighter than all other heavyweights...Lewis just to powerful and in a class by himself. Heavyweight is such a crappy division over the last 10 years. I would much rather see some 154ers go at it. Art |

You guys are oblivious to the best heavyweight matchup there could be, Tyson vs Jones. I mean Jones is known to be a ring technician and are there are not many fighters out there who have a better knockout punch than Tyson, even with his diminishing skills/sanity. Hands down this would be the best fight the heavyweight division has to offer, followed closely by either Tyson vs Tua or Jones Vs Tua. I mean Tyson and Tua will always be entertaining and competitive because of their power, and Jones doesnt give up 70 + lbs to either of them

True guccilvr. Tyson is only after money now he is something of a freak show also. People will always tune in to see what happens or if he cracks up. At least Holyfield if he is somewhat deluding himself turns up to give his all and wants the glory. He truly believes he is still the best out there.
what about lewis v klitschko now since kirk Johnson has pulled out. I think it may be a bit of a mismatch although you never know. I just hope he can take a punch and make it a little interesting. Klitschko did lose to Byrd but he retired hurt not actually stopped by a punch?
