How very sad. Cleveland fans want to puke every time some Red Sox or Cubs fans shoot off their mouths about how they can't win. They at least have the Bulls, Patriots, etc. Look at the above list. The sorriest city with at least three pro teams is Cleveland.

USAToday did a similar thing where they put the the success of teams into a formula, that gave them a number so you could compare. It's kinda interesting, but the teams at the top are no surprise, and the teams at the bottom aren't either.

Thanks for this.

Philly is pretty bad too, between the flyers, eagles, philies and 76's they have no championships...however they have made it deep 7 times. however 0 for 7 when getting into the final four is pretty bad

And who beat both Cleveland AND Philadelphia? Pittsburgh. two assholes of cities with one stone. I love that list.

This is wrong. The Kings were runner up in '93 to Montreal and the Lakers were runner up to the Bulls in '91. That makes two. The only Final Four loser I can think of is the Lakers in '98. So that's wrong too. But that stuff really doesn't matter, LA had a bad championship drought in the '90's.

Well I'm from Calgary, we got nothing, except that 1989 championship, which beats alot of those crappy cities !

Of course New York dominates, but most of that is due to the Yankees sucess. If you combine New Jersey (which is techincally a part of the metropolitan area) You would make that 8 championships since 1990.

The Redskins will be the giving the DC area a 3rd championship this season. :-)
