I have a question concerning condoms and erections: My friend and I both had trouble(different times of course). We both put on a condom and started losing our erections we couldnt keep an erection long enough to start this physical exercise and were left in an embarrasing state. Was it something mental or physical? what could it be please tell me........i have had more than one sex partner and didnt use a condom the first time, my friend on the other hand hasnt had his yet...

Just kidding. Chances are you simply need to get used to condoms. They can be uncomfortable, and distracting at first. I recommend you "practice" with one on...until it becomes a more pleasant experience.

There's nothing less sexy than fumbling with the ol' latex.

I like tec's advice--practice makes perfect. You can also get used to the difference in feel when you're wearing, as that can be disorienting too. If your partner is willing, have her apply the goods.

i think ratbastid and tec are right in that it takes a bit...wait, what am i saying...it takes alot of getting used to but if your partner is willing to help you...or you are willing to let them do it for you, you may be just about there with a solution to your problem.

I've known this to happen, so it's not like you're alone (which you already knew because of your friend, but it helps to know your even less alone I guess). Sounds like you're just not used to the condom yet. It definitely decreases sensitivity, I've heard many a guy lament over it. With time though, you should get used to it.
