My SO just got the Paraguard IUD - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

So..after all the stuff we have been putting up with for the past 9 months or so..finally gave up on the BC pill & patch and she got the Paraguard IUD.

she got it last thursday, and has been in pain ever since... She says it hurts like she's having her period cramping.. she bled for a few days, but that stopped now. She got a sonogram tuesday night and its in place without problems... Is this normal?

has she had any children? I hear they are painful if you havent

no, she has not had any children. she had to take a pill to dilate her cervix, but should it be hurting so much a week later.....????

Im sure there is somebody here that can tell you....I've never had one...all I know is what I said in the other post....give the girls time....they will tell you more than you want to know!!!

I seem to recall that Sage was sore for a little bit after getting hers in... I'll get her to come answer here.
