I am a virgin, and I am curious as to whether an orgasm caused by sexual intercourse is more intense or longer lasting than an orgasm reached through masturbation. I understand that the time before and after an orgasm may feel better when you are having sex, but I am curious about the actual physical perception of the orgasm. Please advise.

I have noticed from masterbation my "euporia" disipates rather quickly. I cum less and have quite a mess to clean up. Nobody can consistantly please me like I can. Masturbation is more like a control line for me, it's always about the same, pretty good.

Sex on the other hand is a roller coaster. Sometimes it's terrible, sometimes you are unable to put together a coherent sentence afterwards, it really depends on your partner. If you are interacting with someone who is not really into it, it can be a real drag. On the other hand, nothing is more sexy than a partner who wants it, and during those times masturbation doesn't even come close.

In all honesty, they are similar but different. Unless it was a quickie (sex), it totally feels so much better, but for strenght/lenght, etc, they are the same. I have to say that there are some ways of having sex that, for me at least, are, or have been, truly mind blowing. Anal sex comes to mind. Various other variations that I might someday divulge also spring to mind. The head of my Johnson tends to get quite sensitivie so sometimes being on the receiving end of oral sex can be a bit ... well, sensitive.

Masturbation can be pretty great when done well too. With masturbation, you can control more variables than with sex with another (person).

Now, I must say that the one time I was involved in a threesome was absolutely fantastic , but that is more a comment on the entire experience than on the orgasms themselves.

for me the intensity of orgasm depends on the build up to it. With sex or masterbation if there is little anticipation, my orgasm is less, if there is more anticipation then the intensity of the climax increases correspondingly.

Hmm, I'd agree with the general proposition that sex is better than masturbation, simply beacuse there's a random element. You don't know what the other person is going to so, and that uncertainty is exciting.

The better question is whether oral/anal/"traditional" sex is best. I know those who argue that anal is best, and there are some that prefer a good ol' BJ.

Even aside from the emotional content the physical sensation from a real sex orgasm is a lot greater than one from masturbation, but then you have to remember that you will have been physically exerting yourself a lot more (I would hope) during the real thing, increased heart rate etc. The other thing for me is that even with masturbation a phone sex or cybersex orgasm (as long as it's a quality exchange) can be far more physically pleasurable than a lone wank.
