I would say, start by not touching her vaginal area. Start by running her hands over her entire body. Pinch her nipples maker her whole body part of the experience. From there don't just dive into the clitoris either. Play with the entire beautiful thing. Pull on the lips, spread her wetness over everything. She has to explore what parts of her she likes the most. slowly build up to the clitoris. Then start slowly with two or three fingers on it moving in a circular motion. What worked for my wife was to experiment in the bathtub and shower. She was able to get indirect water pressure to the area and vary it till it suited her.

A little off topic, but I find it interesting that women seem to be able to talk about masturbation among themselves. Men, on the other hand, will talk about sex but masturbation better not be part of the conversation. I don't think I'm alone in saying I don't want to know what another guy does to get off.

Bathtub masturbation is great, as said above. Let the water run over the whole area down there and it feels great.

If she just wants to use her hands, tell her to spread the lips down there and just start playing with herself- literally playing with herself. She should be stress-free (I guess thats what the people above are getting at with the candles and all that). Find the clit, and put a little pressure on it, and then start rubbing it in little circles. I typically hold open the labia with my left hand, and the third and fourth finger of my right hand. Then I rub with my index finger. If it's a little dry, have her lick her finger and then start rubbing again. But that's just me.

But really, I would advise getting a vibrator. They are so sexy during sex and feel really good during masturbation. Have you ever tried oral sex on her? The feeling of a tongue flicking down there feels great.

IMO, I think it's important that she be able to get herself off with just her fingers. I think if she relies on vibrators, it'll make having an orgasm from manual stimulation more difficult.

Well, my wife will get a pleasing temp with the water in the shower, grab the shower head, and use it to direct the stream to her clitoris. She'll often switch the stream to her nipples (which are very sensitive) and back again.
