Doggy Style pain? Pain from being on top?
 

So myself and my SO have attempted doggy style a few times, and penetration always leads to switching positions because she feels pain.

We've attempted entry with lots of lube, after foreplay, and after sex in other positions. It always hurts her. I'm not especially well endowed, and I'm not just ramming it right in. I slowly work it in and let her back up on me. Penetration alone, without any thrusting, is painful to her. No, I'm not misstakenly putting it in her butt.

She also has feelings of pain when she sits up vertically on top of me, at a 90 degree angle. Once again, I'm not especially well endowed, I'm average, and when she sits up I don't feel it bumping into anything or poking anything. Basically, she can be on top of me, at about a 45 degree angle, and then lean back, and leaning back causes pain.

Do any women have any experience with this?

I cant do doggie at all....if I want it "from behind" I have to do a reverse cowgirl with me leaning forward.....cant sit straight up vertically on top either...MAJOR pain insues...I've been that way all my life....something about those positions makes a guy, no matter his size, hit my cervix

I can't help you with the problem, as I have no idea what could be causing the problem, but this sentence will be put in the memorable quotes thread.

hitting the cervix...same problem here with doggy. small pussy, what else can be said? And no it's not true that a vagina will stretch to accomodate any size. just explore ways of making the position more comfortable.

I have noticed basically the same thing with my wife. If it is indeed a matter of hitting the cervix, perhaps try at different points in her cycle as the cervix changes position and firmness to some degree. I intend to do the same and I'll let you know if I figure anything out.

Every woman is built differently. I couldn't do doggy style till we tried it once with my arms out of the picture - instead of on hands and knees, I was on face and knees :) For some reason that shifts all the relevant anatomy in a way that makes it MOST pleasurable. (And I also get to rub my breasts against our really soft sheets.) Being on top is also painful unless I'm shifted forward - can't sit straight up unless I'm very careful.

If you're really hooked on trying doggy style, just experiment (fun!) until you find a configuration that works for her. And if you can't, well there are tons of other positions out there :) Good luck.

At any rate, if you're nudging the cervix, yeah, that's gonna hurt. Some women (such as myself) actually find that feels good...but we're very few and far between. You may not be able to feel it, but it happens. As someone who does doggie a lot (and has done it with guys of varying sizes) I would say try the face-in-pillow thing that lurkette recommended. Sometimes gaining that kind of angle is extremely helpful.

I cannot do doggie either...and it is/was my favorite position. My husband is much taller than any other lover I have had (6'5) and I am rather short, so we just don't line up right, but reverse cowgirl feels almost as good and is fun.

My wife just started getting into doggy within the last year or so. Before that she's been scared of it cause I'd always hit her cervix and I could never fully insert myself inside her. Recently, she's been able to take all of me without any major pain unless I start thrusing too fast. As long as I go slowly, she says that there isn't as much pain as before. She's also on her face and knees in this position and I think for us that's a good position to be in to minimize her pain and discomfort. Of course, every woman is different, but the point is to experiment.

Perhaps having her sit up (as in, standing on her knees? I can't think of a better description) while you enter her. Then it hits the G a little better while avoiding the cervix.
