Distance and sensation lacking BIGTIME
Well, as it turns out, I'm more than dissapointed lately, not only with my ejaculation but with my overall sensation during orgasm. Even one of my partners noticed the difference.
Ever since I took antibiotics for an inner ear infection ( 7 day cycle) then more for bronchitis (5 more days) about two months ago, things haven't been the same. My ejaculation might go 6 inches. That's it. Before the drugs, I hate to say it but it was like a shooting gallery. Not quite like Peter North, but not far from it. Even my orgasms seem anti-climactic. The intensity is there right up to the end then,...poof. I haven't felt so unsatisfied since I was 16 and would cum at the drop of a dime. Now the work goes in and what?,..what?,..no big deal. Poof. Anyone have similar experiences. With respect, don't tell me to go the doctor. I know what they will say,..."Well OFKU0, you're almost 40 and it's your body telling you it is slowing down". Bullshit. I can fuck like I did when I was 18. New Years Day I had sex 4 times. I could have done it at least two more times but my friend was too drunk. At least that was her excuse My orgasm and the accompanied result took a major hit after antibiotics. Anyone have stories, suggestions as to why this happened? Will time heal my woes? Thanks

The only thing I can suggest myself, and this probably isn't the case, but I'll try...
For me, I go a couple days without sex/masturbation, and I can spray the walls with DNA. I go at it too much, and its a trickle. I've also found that (for me), morning orgasms are weaker than late-day. Haven't figured out that one either I'm not trying to suggest that you can't take the frequency anymore - hell, I was like this when I was 18, nevermind almost 30 now myself. If you take a break though you might find things strengthen up again. Not sure if that helps, but my 2 cents Sammy |

I would check out WebMD.com or make a phone call to a Urologist (sp?). I will speculate that antibiotics could have changed something, but I am no expert.
Aren't you reducing your own sexual pleasure by worrying about something that you can't do a thing about? I seriously doubt there is a pill that can make you have stronger orgasms again. If so, I would imagine we would know about it. I think that if you relax and are thankful you get to have sex 4 times a day, that you will be blowing holes in the wall again in no time at all. |

That's for the responses. Like I said, in the matter of a couple of weeks things just changed. The doctor who prescribed both cycles of antibiotics mentioned some side affects may be weight gain, insomnia and in some people mind depression, but said in time the effects would wear off.
Let's hope so. I guess it could be worse! What I find interesting is that my sex drive wasn't affected yet the sensation is about 50% less if not more during climax. I give it more time. Thanks again.

I'm amazed that you still fuck like you did when you were 18... I wish.

Antibiotics mess up your body's natural probiotics, which is a fancy way of saying they screw you up. Depending on the type of antibiotic you may have given yourself an opportunistic infection; if the antibiotic is not one that voids through your urine, you may have a urinary tract infection, caused by e. coli, or you may have something yeast-relation (don't know much about male bodies and their relationship with yeast, but yeast tends to attack after rounds of antibiotics).

Wow, sounds like you're the guy version of me. Since taking Paxil CR, Adoxa, and Depo Provera shots, my libido/sensation has really taken a HUGE dive into the dumpster. Unfortunately, I don't know what to do. In your case, it's been awhile since you've been off the drugs, so I would try doing what Samalie said to do.
And now, (not to be a thread-jacker, but...) does anyone have any advice for my libido problem as well? |

Hormonal Birth Control, in its many forms, seems to have a normal side effect of decreased libido/etc. Really, there's not a lot you can do about it.
I know in my case, wifey was on HBC for years (minus planned pregnancies of course) - and her sex-drive was in the toilet. Frustrated the hell out of me. Since our last child though, I got snipped & she got off the hormones - now she's a lean mean fucking machine. I can barely keep up Bet way to stop the side effects of HBC is to stop taking them....which of course then has you looking at another method of birth control. Good luck Sammy |

Funny huh, when I was 25 and in a longterm relationship I was good for 4-5 times week and even then, I went through the motions half the time. Gotta be psychological,...or a mid life crisis. Crisis? What crisis? I can still get it up for crying out loud. And I wonder what viagra would do? Better not try. I'll end up with cockrash for a month and probably be running around like a parolee on a day pass.
