Pregnancy from fingering?
 

Ok, my girl's period is edit*almost a week late*, and she's showing some symptoms of pregnancy. We've never had sex, or oral sex, and I've never ejaculated in her presence. I have however fingered her, and we're afraid that there might have been a few sperm that survived on my finger for quite some time, and made it in there and got her pregnant. I realize the odds of this are probably low, but its possible and we're really worried. We aren't anywhere near ready for this, what should we do? I'm thinking that we should get 2 pregnancy tests, and try them to find out for sure.

There is absolutely, no way whatsoever that your gf is pregnant by you. None....Zero....Couldn't fucking happen. Relax!

i doubt that's possible, is she seeing anyone else? Seriously, i would think there is a better chance of that, than of getting pregnant through fingering.

If the pregnancy [edit: PERIOD] is only one day late, there's probably nothing to worry about. Especially if she's less than 20.

Yeah dude she might be cheating on you and trying to pass the baby off as yours. I've never heard of anything like that. Actually it is physically impossible. And leads me to believe that she is VERY young. And you might be very young as well if you actually believe her. I mean even a 15 yr old probably knows the ways you can actually become impregnated. There are lots of Doctors online that love to answer these sort of questions but if you ask me...the only thing you have to worry about is that she could possibly have cheated on you and is trying to stick you with the responsibility of the child.

Learn more about how that part actually works... with the sperm and the uterus and stuff...

You'll find that a lot of people have to try very hard with their actual genitals for a very long time to get a woman pregnant...

Sure, a few girls can get pregnant from precum and from minute amounts of sperm in the right (or wrong) time... however, you are probably more likely to be killed by a crashing 747 or a meteorite crashing down on earth, wiping away the entire human race.

-shouldn't freak out about one day late, cycles can vary. give it a few weeks and then start to get worried a bit.
-yes, it would technically be possible for you to get her pregnant by just fingering her.
-no, it didn't happen. the odds of it actually happening would be so rediculously slim that i'm not going to talk about it
-if it turns out that she is pregnant and you two really haven't had sex, my first thought would be the fact that she has done it with someone else, there's a much better chance that this would be the case.

It is very common for younger women to have erratic cycles. It isn't even uncommon to simply skip one.

You do not have to ejaculate to cause pregnacy. There are sperm in pre-cum. So if you were masturbating and then immediately went to finger her, it is possible, albeit extremely unlikely, that she could be pregnant as a result of your actions.

no, she's not very young, she's 18. i don't believe that she's cheating on me either. i was wrong about the day late, apparently its closer to a week late. 2 weeks ago she was under a lot of stress from exams, and wasn't handling it well, and couldn't sleep because of it. she also got cramps and other symptoms of PMS during that time. i'm hoping that has something to do with her late period now, although that happened before her period was supposed to start. we're just so scared, because we haven't even had sex and it would be so unlucky if she somehow got pregnant.

Stress can cause all sorts of problems with women and their periods. If it has been two weeks, go get one of those pregnancy tests and find out. I had a girlfriend in college who had this problem, we stressed over it for two weeks, when bam her visitor arrived almost 3 weeks late. Needless to say we were both relieved. With the new pregnancy tests they are very accurate after 2 days of missing period. So go get one and get some piece of mind.

i don't remember if i even masturbated that day. if i did, it was several hours before i fingered her, and i always wash my hands after masturbating. i'm hoping that sperm can't survive several hours on dry skin, which is probably the case. but she's so worried about this i'm afraid it'll just make her period even later because of the stress.

Dude, stress ALWAYS messes with my cycle when I'm off the pill. Stress can make me skip a month ENTIRELY. And at 18, it's common for your period to be up to a week late anyways if you're not on a form of hormonal birth control that makes it regular. No worries. Really. Sperm are hardy creatures but they're not that hardy. Calm down. Take it easy. Tell your girl to try some relaxation exercises. If you must, buy a pregnancy test (just one, the generic kind is as good as any other) and try it, just to put your minds at rest. The stress of exams plus the stress of freaking out over something like this would make anyone skip a period.

um, dude...sperm lasts for MINUTES when outside of the body. There's no way in Hell she's pregnant unless you masturbated, quickly went to her while keeping your hand full of semen very warm and wet so as to not kill sperm, and then fingered her ASAP. You didn't do that, so relax.

It's possible, however, you need to realize that sperm does not have a long life expectancy outside of the body. It doesn't just live forever on your finger like a virus or bacteria. I'm not exactly sure of the life of a sperm but I want to say it should only last a few hours if that. It can be stored frozen.. but that's a different story.

When my wife went off the pill, her periods became extremely erratic. Well, the stress of work started adding to it to the point that she went 2 months without a period. Then she started stressing about that and it only made matters worse. Finally things calmed down and a somewhat regular schedule ensued.

I used to have this girlfriend when I was like 17 she was 15 all she wanted was to have a kid, so watch out. She would be late for like one day and all the sudden shes claiming she is pregnate. Like 3 months later shes pregnate and droped out of school. It was kind of sad because she was cute and really smart, she just had child issues. The dad was a lowlife who had no intention of fathering his child and took off to LA and is now dead. She actually got pregnant then had a miscarrage that is why we broke up because she admitted to stopping taking birth control. The last I heard of her she got married and moved to some place called Orange county.

but i think i forgot to mention that she's experiencing some symptoms, like cramps and bloatedness, and other things like that. she had similar symptoms during exam week stress, (and that was before her scheduled period), and they went away for a few days, and then came back when her period was a day late. she's really worried, and its making me worry. we haven't gotten the test yet but we will in the next day or so.

Have her start taking the pill.
To avoid this kind of unneeded stress.

I say: Get her to relax, a hot shower, a little massage, a little smoochin', a good orgasm, a nice cuddle and she will unwind. Mother Nature will then call in the next 12 to 48 hours. Stress is just messin' her cycle up.

if she's one day late you have nothing to worry about, especially if it's from fingering although it is possible. My friend's gf missed her period by a week and she still wasn't pregnant. These two also have sex at least 3 times a DAY no joke.

Stress does weird things to us women. Sometimes I'd go months (and I mean anywhere between 2 and 6 months) without my period, but I'd have PMS like symptoms at any given time. It's really scary. It probably is time for your girl to be on the pill or some form of contraception, if only for peace of mind. It'll help regulate her cycle and it'll be one less thing she'll have to stress over.

You didn't get her pregnant.. thats been stated. She's experiencing symptoms? Self Fulfilling prophecy to me... She thinks she might be pregnant and is freaking out about it and now suddenly she's noticing every symptom of being pregnant. Gotta get her to relax... and if you can't... well I guess only time will tell.

Okay, thanks for all the input. I bought a pregnancy test and convinced her to take it (she was scared of the result and hesitated) and it was negative, ofcourse. Coincidentally, she started spotting while doing the test, so it looks like her period is coming now. Thanks everyone.
