sex toy cleaning
well... i didn't see anything about it posted on here....
soo how do you guys keep your stuff clean? |
It depends what it's made out of. Some of them can be boiled, or sometimes they are even dishwasher-safe. Non-porous toys you can hand-wash with a little water - I would be careful using soap, though, as that could sting. Wash porous toys very very well, making sure to boil or put in the dishwasher.
It also depends what you're doing with them - if they're for anal penetration, you want to clean very carefully (and ideally use non-porous toys). If you plan on using anal toys elsewhere or on someone else, make sure you clean them very well beforehand! Here's a link from my favorite toy vendor, Good Vibrations: http://www.goodvibes.com/cgi-bin/sgd...o/toycare.html Bingle |
I wash mine with UltraJoy dishwashing detergent. Seems appropriate, now that I think about it. :D

My wife actually bought toy cleaner - in her words - "The cleaning solution is gentler than soap for the next use"

thats what they all say ;) |
I've realized that UltraJoy isn't working. I'm getting an infection from my toy. I'll have to either figure out a good way to actually disinfect it, or stop using it. :(
|
Seriously, buy a good anti-bacterial "Toy Cleaner" - its gentle, yet works extremely well
|
would a little bit of bleach be a good thing...and yeah, rinse it real well!!!
|
Ass wipes....not kidding...they're made for 'sensitive' cleaning, are sanitary and can be flushed away....
|
Soap and water. Simple enough.
|
Living in a coed dorm, it is hard for my SO to wash her toy at any time of day, because of the popularity of the bathrooms. There is a discrete water fountain that she uses instead.
Yes. In the water fountain. |

^ Or more sanitary! :|
Asta!! |
They need cleaning?
My wife just uses soap and water. Same thing I use on my penis. |
Baby wipes. :) Portable, sanitary, and you can throw them away. Haven't had a problem yet.
|
Soap and water is the best, then use a dilute solution of clorox and water, and rinse again. Use about a capful of clorox in a gallon of water or so. If you still are concerned, you could always use a condom over the toy.
|
Er, my toy isn't a dildo. It's got crevices, and an inside.
|
Anti-bacterial soap and very warm water.
|
then you use the condom
|
dishwasher for mine... had a guy friend come over one night and he went to put a glass in the dishwasher.. he found that my dishwasher was in use for something other than plates and glasses
|
i use a special toy cleaner. works really well for all my toys and i've never had any issues with irritation from it.
