well, IMO you really only have 2 options

1. Hang around till you get some
I sort of did this a few times where you just stay really good friends with girls until they realize they like you. Just always be there for them and always help them with guy problems and they will fall in love with you in no time. But, if you don't watch out you can easily become mayor of friends town, where you are just every girls best friend but none of them want you

2. Just tell her
This is what I would do, just in the middle of a conversation ask her out somewhere to a dinner, or a movie, or something nice that you usually don't do, or else it will seem like something friends do. Have a good time and then at the end of the night just give her a nice short good night kiss. and leave it at that then bring it up sometime later and see how she feels about it.

I have to admit, I feel some sympathy for our friend, the self conscious middle man. I feel so because I was and in a lot of ways still am him. I have been in that situation before and I've totally caved and backed away because I was self conscious, or as many of you have labelled it, "a pussy". Well, I commend you, trev. I know how you feel and to some extent what you've been through. It's not easy. Good for you for being aggressive.

I would still go after her man.. I was in the same situation about 6 years ago and ever since have wondered what it would have been like and if she was my sole mate.. you never know unless you try and if you don't try.. 6 years from now you will be kickin your self for not going after her.
